In honor of Sub's photographic pedigree and this incredible Kush genetic known herein as Plush Berry, here are a few pointers to get your best Plush shots.
1. Don't worry about a fancy camera. A real SLR or Medium Format will take incredible bud photos, yes. However, you'll need to do a lot more work to get them to be good and will most definitely need to stop down the aperture to the point of needing a tripod in order to get any substantial depth of field shooting something like a Cannabis cola. It has to do with sensor size. Larger sensor equals more shallow depth of field. Not a problem. But sort of a pain when you want some easy, awesome shots of your hard work to post up on this thread. Long story short is that a point and shoot will have greater depth of field and is therefore perfect for things like product photography, or, WEED! (I use a Canon G12.)
2. Use your spot meter if your camera has it. Check through your instructions and see if it's there. Basically spot metering will only count the light in the very center of the frame. Where your bud is.
3. Turn off your flash. Unless you have a good flash that you can diffuse, bounce or both, turn it off. It's not helping, I promise.
4. Under expose. Most cameras will allow you to under expose a bit. It's usually done in thirds of stops. I recommend starting with 1/3 of a stop under and work your way to a full stop under if you have to. Every camera and situation is of course different.
5. Use a decent image editor. Lightroom is the best and it's free from Adobe for 30 days. If you like it then you can buy it or do what everybody else does and you know what. Even iPhoto will be ok though. Aperture is pretty good and a step up from iPhoto on the Apple line.
(Don't go crazy on the editing but you should at least straighten/crop, color correct, sharpen, and adjust tones.)
6. Focus. Yes, make sure your photos are in focus because if they aren't then we can't see the trichomes and if we can't see the trichomes then, well...
I guess that's it for now but just these few items will go a long way. I've seen some awesome buds on this thread and I'm always thinking to myself that people could really show their stuff with just a few simple tips.

All the more sativa like ones are my big plush.Honestly, im not even 100% on any of these, just going by what ive seen online. I had 8 seeds to start with. 5 plushberrys,1 flav, 1 agent orange, 1 space bomb. Then got 5 females. 2 of them looked exactly the same. And then another one, the skinny tall one (the one that hermed, I kept to see if it will herm again,it has not. I think it was either heat or the deficiency) looked almost exactly like the other 2 that were identical. They all seemed to have plushberry traits so I assumed those 3 were.The agent orange seemed pretty obvious being the only plant that looks anything like it and it smells citrus like. I didnt keep the plush berrys that made it last time,they didnt have enough nodes for my liking. I might not keep this one either just because the other 2 strains seem to be much better yeilders(per sq ft, not plant per plant). The plush seems to be a bit longer of a strain also, but it just may be worth it in the end depending on how much the nugs swell up.At 4 1/2 weeks, the plush looks like alot larger plant overall,mostly because I have it in a large pot. The plush branched out alot more for the first 2 weeks of flowering. And it seems like the buds will take longer to mature. Hopefully the longer flowering time will actually make it pack on more bud vs cost of power. I have a pretty small space, and power is expensive here. Im trying to get a perfect size garden to where I could sell some to pay the power and have weed to smoke.So I need the most GPW I can get.Ive smoked all 3 of these strains and they all kick ass so whatever yeilds highest will be my favorite.
