GHS Kalashnikova Waterfarm

I'm subbing man. Interested in the Kalash grow. I had a Kalash freebie in my outdoor stash last year and was really looking forward to it. Groundhog got to it and eat it down to nothing.

Hello. First question is are you growing in soil or hydro? Becasue if your growing in soil, I wont have a clue on how much to feed your plant. You see im growing hydro so my feeding will be different.
I don't go by a set rules or formula on how to feed my plant. I'm just going by small increases and read how the plant goes. For this you'll need a EC meter to measure the PPMs of your res.

From germination till 2 weeks seedling stage I didn't give her any neuts. The first neuts she got was 1ml of Micro in 8.5ltrs of Reverse Osmosis water. After that I just slowly increased the Micro to 1.4ml/2.6ml/4ml. I've only introduced the FNB after the 4th week and started off very small aswell at 1.4ml. The key is to feed her small amounts of neuts at first and see how your plant reacts. This is how i'm going by. I've got a small amount of neut burn on some of the leave tips but I plan to do a flush soon for a day or two just to keep things fresh.

My kalash our in the sixth week of flowering and theres no trichs, The buds are getting big but you would think a strain crossed with white widow would have more trichs. Still got about three weeks left so I'll see what happens. Anyone else ever flower kk? I just think it's weird theres no trichs, my ladyburn are at six weeks and are loaded with trichs.

Hmmm that's odd. I hope ur KK picks up and starts to look frosty.
Mayb Ghost or Anwox can help u since they have grown KK b4.
 
I thought I read that someone else who grew the kk's said they didn't get to frosty, I guess i'll have to see what happens the last few weeks.
 
After 2 days of LST I decided to stop and untie her. This plant is allready short/bushy and has tons of stems comming off her allready. I understand the basics of LST and did see some of the side branches get thicker & bigger but since i'm still a n00b I thought I would just leave the LST and let her do her thing. I'm deffo going to SCROG tho. That's the one thing I don't want to skip on this baby.

Some of the leaves are starting to curl. Looked around and I think it could be due to PH swings or something like a N lockout or too much N.
So I bought some H2o2 3% and added 5ml to 8.5ltrs of PH'd plain RO water. Going to keep her flushed for a day or two then i'll go back to the 500 PPM mix.

Bah, my plant has some ill looking leaves.
Think i've over fed her/too much nitrogen/maybe too much heat from 600w (temps are allways 25/28 with good exhausting).

Not too sure...just going to keep on vegging for another week then i'll flip to 12/12. I still havn't seen any preflowers yet but is it ok to go into 12/12 without any preflowers?

natty run a flush through her for a while. i use flora kleen because it breaks down built up salts real quick. but even just flushing with water for a day would do the trick then start back on low ppms again and work your way back up.

how high were your ppms?
 
Hey natty in my dwc with the kalash they did the same thing. I used florakleen and then put have strength lucas formula, if your using flnb just use that. I can't remember the exact measurements but if you need them I'm sure I can find it again. You can use only the FNB throughout the whole grow. In about two weeks I'll show you my kalash buds when I cut them. small plants massive buds, but i did add sweet.
 
are u using the 3 part formula? i found plants take that up alot easier than the nova series. you should run lower ppm's with that stuff than u would with nova. i started 2 plants one with nova and one with the 3 part, fed them both 400ppm, the 3 part series killed its plant the one on the nova didnt even get burn, same strain and all. plus with the 3 -part you may have added too much n thats the one that does the most damage. i suggest spending a little money and getting the nova series its so much easier

if you are already using nova forget everything i just said lol,

also have u calibrated your ppm meter, there may be nothing wrong with it but i do mine all the time just for piece of mind
 
I think my PPM meter is ok. I test my RO water every time and it's 017.
I'm just using Micro & FNB. I think it maybe too much neuts or N because I made a mix of 4ml Micro & 3ml FNB which got me upto 550. The PPMs kept on dipping alot. Then I flushed her for a day and after the flush I made a mix of just 3ml FNB (360PPM) and my add-back is 5ml (520PPM) for now.
Going to veg for about a week to let her sort herself after getting flattend a bit by the fan then going into 12/12.

What do you people do when you go into 12/12? Do you flush for a day then start low on the neuts (like 300PPM?) then just increase again?
 
when i flipped 12/12 i actually had to increase my nutes for a week or 2 while she went through stretch but then dropped them back down after but i wouldnt recomend doing that if u are experiencing burn already. im no pro though
 
Hello. Here are some pics of end of day 33. Lights go off at 2pm and come back on 8pm. Going to flip into 12/12 so lights will be off at 8am and come back on at 8pm. Can't wait to see her go crazy now. Still no signs of preflowers yet but i'm just going to flip 12/12 anyway.
She's 10.5" tall and I think everything is steady along. I did the flush for a day then had her on a low PPMs and I made a mix for her yesterday at 505PPM. She's about 260PPM now so it's good to see she's eating. After my add-back is finished i'm going to increase it to 600/650PPM and hope the flowering all goes smooth.
Had to make a wooden frame to go ontop of the scrog screen because my tent was getting sum huge neg pressure that it would push the screen in and make the string go slack. Adding this wooden frame has kept the screen tight so all good so far.
I'm looking forward to this scrog and hope it turns out well. If not the learn from mistakes for the next go!

i guys, been following this since the start i currently have 4 kalashnikova's going (did tangerine dream last grow) currently 29days into veg (will post pic up later when i get chance). All very healthy - 2 of them also have the 3 leaf genetic thing going on - topped one - fimmed the other to compare. Smelling already, big indica leafs. got them under a 400w light - ordered a 135w led light which i will be adding to existing HID light also.
