LST questions +REP +REP +REP Low Stress Training

I veg my plants for 60-70 days sometimes a little longer. If I LST just once by tying a support to the stem then bending it once, when it is a foot tall, then leave it like that and take off the strings when im gonna flower, will that grow me a monster bush? Or is it a must to keep tying down the tallest branch like many threads i have seen?

TY for any input, links to threads where people did this, or advice.

yep they naturaly want to grow to the light i gues if you ? it then grow them out and find out for ur self

I think it doesnt really matter if you keep em tied or not depending on the way they are formed by then but i could be wrong. But the reason I made this thread is because i was wanting to know about the single tie down instead of multiple.

funny you ask this because i had my plant tied down for only a week and a bit or so its still little i took the two ties down the the same ties as you mentioned and its been a day and has not really bend back up i can keep in contact to inform you what happend if you want. keep in mind only bent it over for a week.

Hell yeah, I would love to know and be updated on it. May I ask why you felt like taking them off after only a week?

If you release it, it will stay bent at the point where it was bent. But I don't think there will be any benefit to doing this. The top will continue to seek light and grow straight up from the tie down point. Be a weird looking stem though kinda like an S curve.

I know its a little late for this but something to look into is the FIM (f*ck I missed) method its a way of creating multiple main colas. Just type fim into the search bar. It is really kinda nifty. As for your current situation I can think of no benefit in un-tying them unless you were going to put them in a scrog screen.

Cool, so you think the 1 tie down is good? Is it normal to do that? I always see people having like 10 colas tied down super low to there pot. Ty for letting me know to keep em tied throughout flower. haha i tried to rep u like 10 mins ago and it said I need to spread some love around first.

RUI is pretty sick, gives me motivation to try new methods I wouldnt have been confortable trying otherwise.

this is my 1st grow and its a bag seed its what i would call a practice grow. untill i get some money up to get a indoor set up going im just trying diff methods i was just going to lst it but i found some cloning stuff so thought i would untie it and top it and try make the top cutting into a clone once its bigger. i just got curious is all lol just pm me when you wanna know if its still bent lol ill add ya as a friend and try remind myself that way. heres how i tied it https://www.rollitup.org/advanced-marijuana-cultivation/496003-fine.html <---CLICK
turns out it was 2 weeks today since i tied it my plant is a slow growing one so hasnt grow a awful lot but defently noticable.

Firstly, I do LST on my plants but I never tie them down. I use bamboo skewers zip tied together like this...so there is nothing constricting or cutting into them. Seconly those pics you are looking at with the short plants and multi colas are tied down multiple times. I put the seedling closer to one side of the pot and tie it tight to the side it's closest to.
I pull it across the pail and FIM when it gets there
After its grown in I tie it down tight to the pail where I topped, and start to pull the new tops along the edge of the pail (in opposite directions). Topping often and then FIMming the branches that are caused.
I Just keep topping and tying to try to get a perfect canopy.

If you want a real bushy plant instead of lst or scrog prune the top once so you get some branches to clone.After the branches grow out, take a large 8 to 10 inch clone off the bottom. As soon as the clone takes root put it in the flower room after about two weeks it will start to bud when you get about 20 white hairs on top put it back in the vedg room under 24 hour light. a shit load of branches will grow out of this bud. I have done this many times sometimes it don't work very good and I only get a few branches but most of the time it does. If it works good you will end up with a short fat stalk and a big bush on top. I know its not what your looking for but it is still interesting.
