2nd attempt

Well, my first grow didn't go so well, got 2 of 2 males (bag seeds) . I was using about 150 watts of Cfls, no nutrients, Scott's potting soil from homedepot, and I was lsting them and wasn't impressed with the size at all after a month of vegging. The room was about 4ft wide 2 ft deep and like 5 ft tall. Now for my second attempt I have a 150 watt hps and 4 23 watt Cfls for side lighting, reduced my grow room to like 2x2x3.5. I have some bonide 10-10-10 Npk nutrients for veg, and some Alaska morbloom 0-10-10 for flower. Temps are about 82 right now after running the lights for an hour. Will my room get any hotter than this? And need some insight for what potting soil to use. I will be growing 2 plants again and if everything goes to plan how much should I expect in terms of yield? Oh, I will be lsting also. Any tips are welcome.

plant magic is what i use nutes and soil i have had great results from these p.s i add an extra bit of perlite i use 3/4 of perlite to 4-5 bags of soil

oh and ive never had to feed for first 4 weeks and i dont use as much nutes as it says to use

Ya I've looked around but cant find any fox farms around here, would Scott's be sutable if I can't find anything better?

yes its fine, try and stay away from pre treated soils with nutes in the. miracle grow and fox farms are known for giving novice growers 9like me0 a gard time and burning seedlings and smaller plants. i personally think that adding your own nutes is easier to manage

Have you though about ordering some good organic soil from htgsupply.com? I got mine from there and love it! That HPS will help you see some growth really quick!

I'm using some $5 soil from Walmart with perlite mixed in. It was pre nuted as well, but I like it just fine. Just less I have to give them!
