How long should I wait before flowering after transplanting

EDIT: I meant to ask how long should I wait to flower after transplanting, HAHA!

First of all, HAPPY NEW YEARS RIU!

Now to the question in the title. I want to know how long I should wait to flower my ladies after transplanting them from a 2gal pot to a 5gal pot. They are already 3 weeks old and my projected time frame to flower them are at 5 weeks. I am wondering if I should wait 7-10 days after transplanting to flower them so that they can grow a bit and get comfortable before going into flowering. I have already tried to look for questions similar to mine but just couldn't find it, EVEN after asking it in different ways that meant the same thing :wall:. Well, that is my only concern. Thank you for taking your time to read this fellas, peace!

First, When to flower is based on many factors..What type of lighting are you using, nutrients, how big is your space and how big are the plants at this point? How are they being grown and with what type of training etc.. Most people with a few plants veg around a month and then flip to flower on average, less depending on if your using clones etc etc...For the transplanting thing, I'd definitely wait a bit and let them root in and get combfortable and make sure everything is nice and balanced before you go into flower and discover somethings wrong.

First and foremost, when you are seeing good healthy growth and you know she is happy in her new home. Then you can safely switch to flowering. Add flowering nutes very slowly to get her used to the new feeding. Start at 1/4 strength, water, water feed 1/4 dose, water, water, feed 1/2 dose and so on until you reach full dosage. Most plants will need to flower more than your planned 5 week period to finish. At least 8 is usually pretty standard. I have attached a chart that shows you what to look for when harvest approaches...Good Luck!View attachment 1968210

I think what he was saying was he wanted to induce flowering AT 5 weeks, which may even be a little too long depending on his space. That's a good chart to look over by the way to the OP.

Acdtually, IMO, You need to wait as long as possible. You don't want your plant expending energy to grow roots, you want it usuing it's energy to grow flowers. I ahve flipped my plants to flower right after transplanting, and they were fine. But experience has taught me, the plants flower much, much better if the rootzone is completely established before floweringt. In other words, the younger you can out them into the containers your flowering in, the better.

Wow, thanks for the quick replies guys! I was hungry and went to get myself something to eat and when I came back I saw all these replies. Here's a list of what I am using:

18 Blue Dream plants in 2 gal pots that are 2-3ft tall. They are in a soil less medium (Sunshine Mix #4)
They have been topped once after they were transplanted from rock wool cubes
The nutrients they have been fed are GH's Micro/Grow/Bloom, Liquid Karma, Hygrozyme, Protek for veg
For the veg room, I have a one 600w MH.
I have a 5x5 tent for when they are ready to flower. I have two 1000w HPS air cooled hoods in the tent.

That is pretty much it fellas. Thanks again, Peace!
