Cooler Lid Construction Question

I went to a standard 3 inch holes(two inch in cloner) and found like an aeroflo you can put extra sites (holes ) and just simply plug the one's you don't/can't use. I cut 8-10 holes in each cooler but end up only using half or so, I do use all of them in early veg but move then as soon as they outgrow their space, some I just place in buckets (since the coolers have no room). I'd certainly like to come up with a plan to . The five I've got in one bucket(Un-VO) I left in two inch pots and the stalk of one damn near about to outgrow that hole.

I like the foamboard idea I just don't like that aluminum tape idea, its not really the aluminum but the adhesive I'd worry about. I may go ahead and try laminating foamboard with that white shower wall shit, vinyl or something. there would still be adhesive involved but it would be sealed up in the end, with the tape sealed up may be temporary. I don't feel 2 inch insulation is needed on the top( or anywhere really) so I stick to the 1 inch.

then again, now that I sit here thinking about it, straight styrofoam would be ok unsealed I'd think, I was just out looking at some coolers the other day and the only one I found that was suitable (other than the marine coolers which are kinda pricey) was a 12 dollar nothing but thick ass styrofoam cooler. I would have bought it in a minute but there's not a real easy/secure way to tie them together.

Them plain styrofoam coolers are fine for melted water, which I wouldn't drink unless I HAD to.
A chemical reaction is definitely in order once you add and marinate nutes in them for 3 months !
All in all, drilling the damn lid is the best long term solution, I just need to fuggin' do it.
Plus I can fit 4 of the 3 inch net pots in a 5gal bucket and can just transplant from there to the cooler lids and be done with it.
Currently, I have to transplant my 2 inch pots into the 5 inchers and it slows my growth for a few days.
Do it the aformentioned way, I won't have to worry about shocking them.
They'll be moved up to the Deluxe Apartment in the sky snd won't even know it !! lol

after trying to find a two piece collar of some type (pvc preferably) I said fuck it and just tub and tiled that shit right up although it did take some doing. around the holes you can run a bead of silicone between the foam and plastic and then tape them till they dry. since if not they're loose and gaping, like my ex's......errr gaping.

Off topic but my thread so...Since we are in the same climate I was wondering what kind of small white house spider population you have at the moment. I am finding a few of them in my tent. If you have them-are you doing anything about them? As long as they aren't making webs on my girls I don't mind having them around
