British people speak a more proper version of English but even there English is not entirely proper.

i am not going to read all posts, sorry if this is mentioned already..weed is not a gateway drug, never has been and never will be..everyone i know tried alcohol or tobacco before weed.

I "tried" weed at age 4 or 5 (stupid teenage parents shotgunning bong for their toddler).
That right there would show weed has no effect on human development.
It doesn't ruin lives, people ruin their own lives.
I like to try different things, yes, but I know what to not try also.

My ex-wife was born deaf and at one point Ireally loved her. When I was dating her and learning ASL, I would often to pretend to be deaf as well. Complete strangers get behind you and make fun of the way a deaf person sounds. And they are not able to defend themselves. One time a guy was trying to see a box of over-priced $2.00 frikkin dvd's and my ex was unintentionally and unaware that she was blocking him from seeing 200 copies of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. He said EXCUSE ME apparently retard woman, you are in my way. He thought I was deaf as well, a not so nice event ensued.

BUT, all that being said, this argument is getting you no where and why would you want to twist this thread into something so negative? I suggest moving to a PM fight. Less embarrassing for you and RIU as well. Again...Not Judgin' Just Sayin'

Maybe if it was with more understanding individuals, willing to compromise both ways, this argument would have been non-existent.
Being from Cali, I've grown up in a very herb infested, peaceful environment.
I am not use to pointless arguing, so I guess I'm not really use to the internet, lol.
Because it seems that that is what it is all about, at least on RIU.
I swear, 90% of the threads get hijacked, twisted, arguing, or just plain disrespect for no other reason then to cause misfortune to someone.
I really need to get use to that, because as far as I'm aware RIU has the least amount of trolls.
So I don't intend to go anywhere else.

I don't believe in the gateway theory at all. People do what they want to do. I don't like alocohol, I don't do any other drugs except pot. I have tried other drugs, I really like molly and I like ecstasy just because its a cocktail of drugs and you don't know what you get. BUT I know ecstasy is bad for you, specially when its cut with meth. Molly is amazing though, but I'm happy not knowing anyone who sells it. I tried it a few times, and I'm done with it I think. Who knows though, if I'm at a bar or something, I just get some molly if someone confronts me with it.

The only reason why I did ecstasy in the first place was because I was really depressed, it literally flipped my world around permanently, I'm glad I tried it, but NOT more than once. You'll go through rolls and rolls of them and not even realize it. Its sickening when you realize what you just did
