What's good everybody?

So day before yesterday (1/ was day 19 of flowering and everything is looking GORGEOUS! Trichomes have become much more evident...I dont have to use a jeweler's microscope or squint and look at 'em crazy anymore to see them! The Sweet Island Skunk has AT LEAST 100 budsites..it's enormous! I can definately tell that the Afgooey are indica-dominant because they have ony stretched 6 inces or so since being put into flower, while the Grape Ape has doubled in size and the S.I.S. has probably tripled!! Well, enough talk for now, I'll update again later with pics from today (my computer has been acting up the past couple of days so I couldnt upload these pics)

damn grandaddy looking awesome got a q for ya what is that sativa again your growing cause my blck widow turned out to be a sativa in flower its my first sativa ever and there are tons and tons of tiny popcorn seed budlets they all are but my q is how long did yours take to swell the buds and did yours start like mine all very tiny tons of them and then eventualy swelled up ?

The sativa is a Sweet Island Skunk (not sure abt genetics...just picked it up @ a dispensary). Skim through my journal (pages 4-7 to be specific) and you can see what they looked like when they first started to flower. If I remember right they were extremely tiny at first, and they have just started swelling this week.

It's the first 2-3 weeks that the plants really stretch but it looks like u have a good grip on them. great job

I like to keep the HPS as close to them as I can without them being uncomfortably hot, giving them as much light as possible. I only raise the light 2-3inches at a time, ensuring they are getting more than adequate light constantly. I've got some literature that talks about how drastically lumen output decreases with distance. I think the example given was that if there are 100,000 lumens 1ft away from the light, then at 2ft away, there would be like 25,000. It's exponential. Now don't hold me to that yet lol, I gotta get out the books to sharpen my knowledge!


...in a nutshell though, that's why I like the light to stay as close as possible, it GREATLY reduces stretching...

I'm going to have to make a net or something for this Sweet Island, because it's starting to pick up a lil' weight a lean lol...

Well, I'm past due for an update on the veg room also !!

The Big Bud, White Rhino, and Mad Man Purp (she was a fucking BITCH) have been transplanted into 5 gal buckets and will go into flower in the next 7-10 days.

The clones I got are looking great, out of their dome, and up under the big boy 1000w Hortilux. I have them potted in 4 inch pots and will transplant to 1 gallon in the next few days.
