Materials....need a lil help

I am juss trying to grow a personal stash and have some really nice female seeds. I have a 150 watt HPS light a fan a nice sized closet. is there anything else i would need? to improve the end product? is the light powerfull enough from start to finish? please send some responses would really appreciate it thanksss

depends on your grow size and amount of plants. You can always supplement with some cfls. Try the search function.

Welcome aboard! ^^^ Good words, 1 plant can be grown very nicely with 150w, 2 can be done almost as well but because there are 2 the yield should improve depending on other conditions, I would not do 3 full grown plants under 150w. Just MHO.

But as weedasaurus suggested the best tool you have is this forum. The stickies contain 1.000's of great threads and posts to learn from. A growing medium, nutrients, something to control odor, ph meter. probably other things im not thinking of...like ph up + ph down. lol. Oh, containers to put the growing ,medium in.

thanks for the info....im in the process of getting the PH meter and im growing organically i have some nice potting soil, im getting the nutrients today or tomm. would the grow come out fine with everything i have? i have 150 watt light, soil, ph meter, nutrients, thermometer. and the closet is like 4 ft wide about 7 ft tall. would all that be a good starting point im tryna low on funds and tryna keep it to a minimum. I appreciate the help tremendously thanks so much

It will be too hot without an exhaust fan im sure, just get a 120mm or two pc fan and wire it to a phone charger as per this tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9DMTQ2e7oM Mount it at the top of the closet to get rid of the hot air.

Im running a 150w hps with cfls and it does get hot in my small closet with a circulation fan and 2 120mm fans, got a 4" inline fan on the way though :D

Also you may want to consider some odour control, if your doing 1 or 2 plants you could just get some ONA gel, or do a DIY carbon filter.

im definitely gonna get the odor control gels and what not but i grew a freebie and it was a male and it grew pretty well under these conditions. I just got the blackjack feminized in the mail so i planted that and dont want to mess up. but the fan controlled the temp pretty well if it gets too hott i will definitely look into a exhaust fan. My new plant is on day 2 i have the light on 24 hrs, should i switch to 18/6?

What about air coming into the room? Plants need fresh air to thrive. Opening the closet door every once in a while will not be enough.

as the last poster said, the plant doesnt just need the air in the cab circulated, it needs fresh air (more CO2) to grow. Adding a 120mm pc should be enough and it'll cost you pennies, fan is like £2 and grab any old dc adapter in the house, scotch lock it on and your away.

i have a window rigfht near closet i open for a couple hours a day that allows the fresh air,
and whats the 120mm pc? i juss dnt know the PC part lol sorry

im looking for a really simple way of using the nutrients like in liquid form of a vegging nutrient and a blooming nutrient? anyone know some good cheap brands to purchase?
