My leaves are droopy and my plants don't grow !

Hey all I've had 5 of these hydro for about 5 weeks now and they haven't grown barely in the past 2 weeks. I came home today and they are all droopy and shit. Is this maybe from low humidity? or do I have too much water in my buckets? My rockwool is pretty wet.. I've got like 3 gallons in my 5 gallon bucket, well now 2 gallons cause I took some out...

I looked to see your journal as you suggested and was unable to retrieve any info.
you mention rockwool, is that in net pots with hydroton as part of your DWC?
It looks like your plants are starved for oxygen similar to what you would see if you overwatered in soil.
But I cant offer a solid diagnosis without more info.
grow medium(s)? what nutes? nute strength? room temps (night/day)? water temps?

All of that info is in my thread.

I use rapid rooter for start, then put that in 4" rockwool.

Once I see roots in those, I put the 4" rockwool in a netpot and then fill the sides and top with hydroton.

I put the netpot in my bucket which contains the 3-part humbolt nutes, I posted everything I added and the ppms. They were at like 750 before I switched the buckets. They're now like 650-700 with a different dosage of nutes.

Root temps in day are like 75-79 and then it hits like 65-69 at night.

The water temps are 60 F

The humidity has been like 20-30% I've been trying to get it more humid. I've closed the space down more tonight and bought another $100 humidifier. Hopefully when I wake up I will see 40-50%

use some botanicare cal mag and some aquashield. The aquashield will kickstart the plants immune system and increase nutrient uptake. It is derived from poultry manure. the cal mag will increase photosynthesis and make your leaves and stems stronger. keep the ph around 6.3 and the humidity at 50%. 20-30 is way too low! at that humidity evaporation is sucking the life right out of your plant and shutting down co2 absorbtion.

If hydro you could have a PH issue, humidity wont do that especially at your plants age. Whats your PH nutrients could be locked out due to a PH issue. I say I doubt it's humidity because I grow in AZ and I have like 3 mother plants that stay in a closet under a T5 with about 15% -25% humidity. I started out growing DWC so I know a thing or two about it.

It has to be algae in your buckets, or a lack of bubbles, or some sort of root issues...

I am curious why would you use rapid rooters and put them in the 4 inch rockwool? I would just pick 1 or the other to use and put them in the hydroton. That could be the problem since they both hold water well and maybe too long? I am with the others that you probably don't have enough oxygen. Try less water in the Res. around 2 gallons. I have never had problems with humidity being too low. Mine is usually around 20% without the A/C. I have noticed less feterlizer is better than more from my experiences. I used to go 1200 to 1500ppm and tried 1000ppm or less and they are much better in quality and yeild. Good luck!

A simple case of over watering. In a DWC system only an inch to an inch and half of the roots should be in water. The rest hang in open air. LESS WATER !!!!

Plants still looking droopy today.

What I did today was add aquashield and lowered the water level to about 2 gallons. Ph has always been fine. The air circulation sucks so I added a fan on the top and a fan in a wall to blow air out and a fan to blow air in and another fan to blow the plants.

Now my humidity will be at 50% + all the time.

I use 1 air stone with a nice pump. I have 30 plants and I use 3 88 liter per minute pumps. I was told I could do 30 plants with one of those pumps but I got 2 more to make sure.

Maybe it is not getting enough oxygen somehow? I don't know.. :(

Your humidity is definitely not the issue dude. Humidity will not make the plant droop like that. Your plant is stunted, its not growing and in DWC you can have water 1 inch under the net cup throughout the whole grow and not have problems I always topped my 5 gallon cooler buckets off and when I did my weekly res change I would add back water to about 1 inch under my net cup never had a problem. Stunted growth in hydro could be PH problems, root rot but usually its water temps or PH that cause stunted growth or droopy leaves. If your plants are healthy the leaves will always "perk up" every day at some point during lights on this is usually a indication your plants are ready to soak up the sun and munch on nutes. add another air stone to the one bucket if you think its not enough oxygen, the plants will perk up pretty quickly if its a oxygen issue.

It seems as if it's a oxygen issue, but I don't see why. I think they started drooping when I added h2o2 solution to it. I did alot of stuff today so if they're not back tomorrow I will lower some more water out and get another air stone. It bubbles pretty good, I think.

Use some H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide) if your roots are beginning to show rot or dissolved oxygen is low. If using
the 3% you can use 10-15 mL / gallon, if using 30% use 1-2 mL / gallon.

Also, what temperature is your water sitting at? Keeping it below 70 is ideal.

That's what I did and that's around when they started drooping. It's been like 5 days now.
