well in most cases i think they broadcast a shit load of seeds and kill off the males.... unless its mexico then they leave them in and put poop and dead animals and stuff in the pile and compress it then they dip it in a special sauce that gives it that shitty mexican taste then after two gastanks and a dead cow a guy name carlos sneaks it into the country in a sweater made of cigarette packs.

Dude, That is just plain western arrogance talking. The Moroccans, Afghanis, Pakistanis and the rest PIONEERED MJ growing and hash making in those areas, and they have had thousands of years to get it right!!!. WE got the whole "no seeds" (Sin-Semilla, sp for without seed) thing from them. It is NOT a new world thing. Everything we here in the west have we owe to the old world!!!
It wasn't until some folks spent some time over there learning from those "old tent-dwellers" back in the 60's that we really started to learn about growing MJ here.
ya most other countrys.. dont pull males.. they let them breed and pull out the best seeds from best plants.. and use for the next year.. some places are starting to pull males to reduce the seeds.. for better bud... but most of the other countrys wen u plant hundreds of thousands of seeds.. its tough to get all the males especially the runts.. so im pretty sure some places.. have a spot for breeding wer they dont take males for next years seeds.. and then a place were they do take out the males for no seeds.. but the thing is .. the places were they do only try to get all the males out.. the runts pollinate making the strains worse and degrading them in those areas..

In Morocco, Colombia and in Guatemala (places I have PERSONALLY been and seen pot grown), these guys are the SHIT when it comes to growing. Outdoor grows that would rival anything we see here, and they can produce bud that would probably embarrass many of us!!! I don't know where this info comes from that the rest of the world is sucking hind tit, but I can assure you that in those 2 places at least they have got it together and can teach the best of us a thing or 2. The folks in Guatemala I know have grown pot for personal use on their family land for over 800 years that they know of. How can we argue or compete with that?

I think that most of these comments are made by people who have never even left the country. Even if they have, how in the hell would they ever gain access to enough grow ops to get a big enough sample size to make generalized comments about this topic? Really? The U.S. pioneered sensi? Come on now, people need to stop mis informing other people. It either confuses others, or it just makes you sound so ignorant that nobody listens to you at all. I am gonna go with Jack Harer on this (who apparently has been to foreign grow sites) and ASSuME that a thousand or so years of experience would speak for its self. Most of the best strains I have seen don't originate here.
As far as picking out the males goes, my guess is that its similar to detassling corn in the midwest US. Groups of people go out and de tassle many acres of corn. Im pretty sure its not just one guy by himself trying to weed out 1000 male plants all alone. But thats just my opinion.

When was the last time you bought a "sack" of anything but mexi-brick? I can absolutely without a doubt gaurantee that you have NEVER bought a bag of Nepalese, Moroccan, Afghani, Pakistani, Uzbekistani or any other fani weed. At least a sack of weed that directly came from anywhere other than Mexico. Do you have any idea of just the logistics involved in getting it from over there to here??You try to speak, but only drivel is coming out.
The Mexicans don't give a rats ass whether or not it has seeds, they're selling the shit for $50 a brick. Christ, there's enough lumber in most mexi weed to build a house!!! Judging the entire worlds MJ growing abilities based upon your own meager experience is just plain stupid!!! I have YET to smoke anything BETTER than the Sats my buddies in Guatemala grow. Moroccan pot is fucking great as well, kinda hard to get tho..it's so full of trichomes, they make hash out of most of it. While you're bullshitting, that guy in Guatemala can ID a male at 30 days from seed, and I have never known him to miss. They set aside a plant that they'll seed for the next year, but I have never found a seed in any of their smoke.
I remember when the boys at the Univ of Florida in Gainesville started growing the first Sinsemilla in around '70 give or take.Right about the same time they were doing Maui Waui in Hawaii. The guys in Hawaii and the guys at the U of F got that info from other countries, who have had about 5000 years to practice. We've had what, 250 years, again give or take?? The sheer arrogance of the American youth never ceases to amaze or amuse me.
To answer the question, they cull the males just like we do. And they don't miss!!!
