Can I grow weed with lights like these???

i got 4 of these just sitting around.... and as of right now im use a 6-bulb t8 ballast and 2-2 bulb t12s. and im always down to add more light for my 7 planties.

In my opinion, those lights get WAY to hot! There also may be other things like spectrum, lumens and other things to research.

Yeah go for it! I don't know why everyone isn't using these lights they are way cheaper! I am going to toss my stupid lights that I paid $500 for and go with flood lights!

if u dnt mind me asking what lights did u get that cost 500 and are stupid lol i spent 400 on a raptor 1k watt and i been haveing it for 2years and hasnt done me wrong only thing ive done is switch bulbs every grow cuz im anole like that oh by the way nice journal m8 very nice grow

Hey I havn't updated my journal in forever! I was just fucking around brotha, my 1000w setups from plug to bulb are about $500. And there is a point why they cost that much! People always try to go cheap on the lights and it is one of the biggest mistakes!

It don't matter if you have a life times worth of free bulbs for those flood lights THEY WILL NOT WORK!!!! The light spectrum & heat will destroy your seedlings.

That looks like a Halogen-based lamp. You CAN grow with security lights, but unfortunately not this type. You need a MH or HPS type security light. They usually have SON-T written on them.

Those are high output halogen lamps. Wrong spectrum and way to hot. So NO!
