Why are obama's critics so dumb?

To use the terms Obama first employed in his inaugural address: the president begins by extending a hand to his opponents; when they respond by raising a fist, he demonstrates that they are the source of the problem; then, finally, he moves to his preferred position of moderate liberalism and fights for it without being effectively tarred as an ideologue or a divider. This kind of strategy takes time. And it means there are long stretches when Obama seems incapable of defending himself, or willing to let others to define him, or simply weak. I remember those stretches during the campaign against Hillary Clinton. I also remember whose strategy won out in the end.
good article that deals with criticisms of obama from the left and the right, written by a conservative-leaning independent.

Imo people just expected to much from him. He is the president not the king. People forget that the president is mainly a figure head. Congress for the most part controls things.

The u.s. adds fluoride to the water in a lot of places and the president grew up in country that doesn't so maybe it left him sharper than some of his detractors

It made sense to me,...
Some shit about Obama winning and his opponents calling him socialist and Romney being a propaganda talking asshole, and Obama getting shit from people who defend Bush

You say that but the things that he let voters down the most in is the things that the President does reserve the power to do.

- Ending the wars immediately, like promised
- Closing down gitmo (or not)
- Renewing the Patriot Act twice
- Libya
etc

The things that he can champion are actually things that he passed through congress (ie Obamacare). Therefore, the king argument is invalid.

I cede the point good sir. I think it may have been more of an illusion of the masses, its like people expected the whole world to change overnight and then went on a rampage because it didn't

I had already seen it.

But plenty of Obama critics are not dumb, in fact all critics are serving a purpose. You should narrow it down to Romney supporters if that is what you mean.
i feel the author was just trying to grab attention, and it worked.

the article's main thrust seems to be that obama is playing chess, while most of us are playing checkers.

I just tried to check my facts
I googled- does Indonesia add fluoride to their drinking water and it linked me to wiki which lists fluoridation by country but the site is blocked in protest of a cencorship bill-

i just wanna say this, Mr. President , ......hmmm...uhhhhhhh.................can we just smoke weed please.
I think he will end prohibition in his second term. Part of his political chess game, he couldn't risk on his reelection by having that kind of heat in his first term. When he started getting attention from the likes of we, he seemed to shift his stance, at least enough to avoid the attention of the Neocons who were already Teapartying around then. I had sure wished to see Palin in this election. Everyone seemed really sick of her after the Tucson massacre.

That's why I use RO water and pure lab grade chemicals. Organics contain tons of impurities like fluoride, along with radon, bacteria, prions, amoeba and the fact you have no idea the real concentrations of essential nutrients. I want my weed pure. Pure drinking water is a must too. You only live once. Unhealthy living makes your life worse. People can call it conspiracy shit all you want. Like I call bullshit on the microwave is bad.

Well you have to be a certain amount of stupid to be a republican. Either that or extremely wealthy. You're talking about a demographic who goes out and protests against their own economic interests.
