Bottom Line, C02 Good Investment?

I'm about to embark on my first grow. I have everything. I will be doing SOG on a 4x4 ebb flow table in my 5x5 tent. 25 6in pots, 1 week veg with just rooted clones then flower. Power Kush strain for a quick flower and large yield. 1000w hps. AN sensi grow and bloom a/b plus AN big bud and AN overdrive.

Bottom line. Is co2 tank and regulator a good investment that will essentially pay for itself in short order? Looks like the tank and reg will put me back about $200

I'd advise you to finish your first grow and tune everything really well, then read a lot about sealed rooms and how they work. Co2 is only good when all the other aspects of your grow are already maximized. I made the same mistake and got a co2 ppm meter, a propane Co2 gen and a solenoid valve hanging around. Some day I'll use them.. Some day..

I love using CO2 however do your research first and Co2 is great if you have the proper grow room like a sealed environment and the right AC unit or else you will just suck out all your co2 and be refilling your tank every 3 days. Definitely worth the investment if you have your ducks in a row and plan on growing for years to come.

Thanks for the input so far. My main concern is including too many different components being my first grow. I just wasn't sure if the addition of C02 and it's use was a no brainer type thing or a whole other aspect that really needs consistent monitoring, adjustments. etc. If the latter then ya, I will wait and just make sure to walk before I run with this grow and then add once I feel more comfy with the whole process.

Well there're digital monitors that do the work for you. Search for "sealed room for cannabis" on google. That'd give you a good start point.

Yeah man definitely dont be one of those dudes who has one grow under his belt and considers himself a expert. Learn to grow hydro, soil , learn to clone , learn to fight off pests and diseases and then get into co2.

Pretty much what I do. I use a Titan Atlas 1 light sensitive co2 controller. It basically sets my co2 PPM @ 1500 turns on only at lights on. All I do is hook my regulator up to my tank and let the computer do the rest.

hell yeah co2 is the shit over night growth of 7 new branches 1 inch tall just turned mine back on 2 days ago. co2 makes the growing faster. and its hard to coordinate with temps it can be a big investment the bigger the grow the more thought that has to go with co2 thats why larger ops usualy opt out on co2 or use lp ng co2 generators.

co2 is the shit, but will f*** things up litterally overnight if you dont have your shit down. your set up sounds good, its basic which is important for beginners and vets alike. however, you seem to be more focused on nutrients, and power than the most important thing, your enviroment.what your ventilation like? how many oscilating fans you putting up? exhaust? how will you control humidity? and those are just the ones i can come up with when i'm stoned..yields are awesome but i think you will be spending a lot more than 200..regulator, tank, and 2 timers. one for exhaust, and one for ventilation. fans are a must, i recomend at least 2 good ones for the camopy, and one for the floor. fail to do these and you can lose huge buds overnight from bud rot due, just one of many things that can indirectly be caused by co2, or an f'ed enviroment. anyway,im bored now, im gonna smoke my from my fresh lsd enviroment. do ypur research cause chances are you are too excited about c02 to stop thinkng about it. good luck dude.
