Thanks! I have to say it was an easy plant to grow, as far as plants go. I did give them a very nice home though so I'll take a little credit for that.

On a sidenote: as I'm curing I am stinking up the whole neighborhood. You can smell it from the street! Anyhow, as I was burping yesterday I look outside and see a guy in a flack jacket (that how you spell it?) in a Silverado truck. Shit. Then another one. Then another. Then a van. Then another truck. That's five. They then move into position and block off my driveway. Fuuuuuuck!!!! Heart racing I walk outside and they are getting out of their vehicles. My eyes go bug and I stutter out, "Can I help you?" Instead of a warrant (which is what I was half expecting and terrified of), he whips out his fucking iPhone with a photo of my next-door neighbor! "We're here to pick up your neighbor, sir." (OK, just so long as you're not here to pick up my Plush Berry!)

I have been going through a pack of plushberry and mainly have seen the 2 main phenos the green big cola pheno and the lower yielding purp/pink pheno. It looks like some have gotten lucky and found a combo of the 2. My question is has anyone had a plushberry that was straight indica short stocky, very tight node spacing, little slow in veg in comparison to the others that are so vigorous is insane. I have this pheno and I just put it in the flower room but I was curious to see if anyone else has seen it and flowered it out. What can I expect from this short fat girl?

Here are some pictures of the Plushberry phenotype we kept. It is a fast grower and once it hits flower it stretches and takes off budding quickly. It is very sturdy and easily supports the large, dense colas it produces. Dried, the buds have a deep cherry/oak smell. The smoke has a strong cherry flavor that stands out and is easily recognized amongst other strains. Unfortunately, these pictures were taken without our tripod so the amazing resin detail isn't quite as crisp as we would like. Better shots to come when the next one is flowered out. You find any banannas late in flower with her? looks like theres a seed in pic 2 right in the middle

Yep! I haven't determined if it was grower error (we like to leave our plants in a little longer than others but otherwise no stress or other hermies in the garden) or a bad phenotype choice on our part. Luckily they are just popping up late in flower which makes me think we're just leaving her in a little longer than she wants to be. Anyone else seeing bananas? That might have been a seed, but the pre-flower calayx's that develop in veg usually swell and darken in flower for us, leaving a bunch of little pods on the stem after we've dried and cut down our buds. Sometimes they have a seed in them but usually their just little fluff balls.

Glad to see you guys on here! I was wondering when more of the OMCA crowd would get on RIU. So glad to have you guys here.

Congratulations on your placing on the OMCA's! I was there, also, but I did not finish nearly as well as you two did!

I am on my second turn with Plushberry, and it is quite a plant. Very nice pics. Rep coming your way.....we need more growers like you guys getting involved in RIU!

I actually had pretty significant herming toward the very end on one pheno. That particular pheno was actually my favorite one though and I don't care if it herms in the last week.

I'll smoke that cock!

Thanks so much hazorazo! We have been silent readers of these forums for a long time now, we finally figured it was "safe" enough and a good way for us to share some of our info with others and hopefully learn a ton more in the process. Its nice to see that Oregon is so heavily represented on here, we're glald to be a part of it. We have been so excited and shocked with our OMCA results these past 2 years. Hopefully with more work we will become breeders and have more than just our grow advice to give the community :)

Laudanum- We have been told it is a sign of vigorous strains to see bananas late in flower. They want to throw out some pollen to start another generation when they sense that they are dying off. Plants that do this must be strong, to have the energy in themselves to push out pollen when they are dying off, but I wish that last bit of energy would go to oil production instead. Most of the time when we are choosing phenos, a little pollen production during the flush in flower usually isn't a deterrent to us from picking that plant. I'd rather have a plant that has a distinct aroma or increased resin production but hermies late in life than a plant that was run-of-the-mill for that strain but a breeze to grow with no bananas. We had 2 distinct phenos of Subcool's Vortex in which we were forced to make that exact choice. One smells like banana runts and tastes similar and produces so much resin that the trichromes are literally stacked on one another but it hermied pretty bad in its final two weeks. The other had fluffy buds and a sweet smell, but nothing that really stood out. The trichrome production made it seem like a different strain entirely; they were short and barely stood out once the buds dried. We kept the banana runt pheno. This run of it, we are going to pull it a little sooner and see if we like the high/smell/taste/resin production as much as our usual later-harvested one. I'd be interested to get testing done to see what we are gaining/losing from taking our plants later and allowing them to hermie out.

Yeah that one was very Sour and Berry, aesthetically looked like Jack Herer. Tonight I smoked another of my Plush phenos for the first time and it actually had more body to it than the sour one when you smoked it and almost had the flavor of a fruity Ethiopian coffee. Really really good shit though. I still have not smoked the plum cheese danish pheno I got. I'm expecting good things from it though, of course. Again, the only one that hermied was the super tall sour one. And only in the last week. It was vigorous for sure and had plenty of frost so I don't think the bananas took too much from that like they would have if it was early on. I think at that late point it's like a post-menopausal woman growing a dick and fucking herself. She is not going to get pregnant.

I cannot wait to see what you come up with as breeders! I am pollenating my Ice Anomaly strain with Ace of Spades tomorrow! I will also be pollinating a chosen Cin-X pheno and another pheno of whom we do not speak, haha (my buddy wanted to wait to announce it, and I respect that). That will start a very long, crazy process, but I am going to love it, because I am just a fucking nerd at heart, lol. Hope you are well. I was touched by the passion you show for the patients and plants. It inspires others. Thank you.
