Thanks alot jhod58vw, and welcome! TGA Genetics are top notch for sure... I was really bummed about my AO being male for this round =( But I will definately be growing more TGA in the future... I have some Chernobyl and Dairy Queen freebies that I can't wait to pop! Happy growing!!! =D

so I think I am going to snag a 26W ZooMed Repti Sun UVB 10.0 CFL bulb at PetSmart on the way home today, and throw it in the tent tonight... Let it run full cycle with the other lights... Couldn't hurt, and it *should* help trichome production, right? Maybe it'll make my trichs 'pop'

cool, thanks someguy! have you used/do you know anyone who has used this exact bulb? I have read all sorts of things about uvb... and there are alot of different bulbs... Some people say their plants grow right up to the UVB lights (touching) without any problem... I just looked in there because I put this UVB light in there last night about 8 hours ago, and it was definitely within 3-4 inches of some of the cola tops and leaves. I did not notice any problem. I will re-arrange the bulb tonight, because I don't like the cone reflector/clamp thing that is on it right now, and I will probably back it off a little for the sake of caution and see how it goes, then maybe lower it again... =D

) pineapple express waterfarm scrog thread, which actually ended up produced an amazing .pdf summary of the grow for documentation, and of course the amazing work being done with waterfarm/scrog by my man Dayzt... just incredible! pages 48-53 of that thread... /DROOL ...and wtf man! what he did with that Tangerine Dream the previous grow! speechless!Thanks throwdo! The lights have been amazing... Blackstars are definitely the bang for buck LED, and I have been very happy. They are not the best LEDs out there in terms of head-to-head competition panel-to-panel, but you can buy more of them for the price of the other guys' panels and get amazing coverage and results. I have had zero problems with Gotham Hydroponics, and have placed several orders there. The guys are cool on the phone too... I talked with Victor a couple of times, for reference. I have ordered 2 Blackstar 240 panels (separately), a tent, a couple waterfarms, a carbon filter/fan combo, and the awesome "cruise temp" thermostat control =D A lot of LED growers here on RIU speak very highly of Hydroponics Hut and their pro grow panels as well, as they also seem to produce great results without breaking the bank, and that way one can avoid whatever problem one has with purchasing from Lighthouse/Gotham or owning the 'walmart' model of LED (Blackstar) lol... Again, I am just a young padowan, and there are many great LED threads/grows to read here =D Just check out what WeJuana is doing! I had my 125W reptile lamp on a timer that goes on every other hour for an hour.. so 6 hours of UVB per day, I dont think it was ever a problem,... considering running it full time soon... mind you it might be why my plants were all turning yellow and looking the way they did... but I sure had a LOT of trichs on the AK which was right under it for the longest time!!

125W reptile lamp? wow... is that one of those Exo-Terra Solar Glos? yeah I am not so sure how great this 26W CFL bulb will be for added UVB... I really need to do some more research. But I figured hell man based on what I know now, I can easily snag this lamp at the pet store, place it real close to one side of the plant/buds, and give it a whirl for the rest of flowering through the chop. At that 26W it shouldn't hurt, and it *could* be good...
I am not noticing any issues with burning/bleaching/yellowing since I put it in the tent, and it is running the full 12 hour lights-on cycle. I am not noticing any difference in trichs yet either... not that I really expected to yet...

gave Geraldine a few good flushings this weekend with pH 6.0 Brita-filtered tap water (75 ppm), which brought the runoff down to about 100 ppm, and then bumped her back up to ~1200 ppm pH 6.0 nutes. Looking like I will give her another two weeks, then flush and chop

The brita gets you down to 75ppm? What's your starting ppm?

yeah man, right now it does
my tap water varies... this weekend it was as good as it gets -- 125 ppm (which is pretty great!)sometimes my starting ppm is as high as 225 and the Brita can only get it down to ~125...
