Having Leaf Problems(repost WITH PICS!)

  • it's been over a month now I've had my seedlings in and they were doing great until a few days ago I noticed some spots that definitely don't belong. I can't upload a pic but it looks like a burn mark. The lights are 2 feet above so I know that's not it plus it's on the bottom and the tops would get burned first, is it dehydration? The bottom very first leafs are doing it and completely discolored it was only on those and then it looks like it's starting to spreak up the next biggest leaf has one spot could it be a fungus?

These are the pics i took for this subject they are doing pretty good minus this one fact

Had something similiar happen to one of my plants, been fighting it for a month now. Have heard no less than half a dozen theories, it improves sometimes and declines, I think im just going to have to suck it up and truck on

do you have any pests? root aphids in particular? I have no idea how people see root aphids in soil other than when you transplant you'll see something that looks like snow on the roots. Anyway the damage they do under your soil looks something like that and unless you have some winged ones they'd go unnoticed in soil and the damage resembles a mag def. Soon all fan leaves will die and crumble if it is aphids.

I'm really hoping it's not pests I just transplanted for the last time so I'd have no idea :( I do mist my plants along with humidfy when the lights are off but dbkick I think you might be onto something because it seems to be working it's way from the bottom like it's from the roots. I have yet to flush them so should I try that and then if nothing get some kind of liquid feed to kill them off?

yes, I just azamax'd all my shit. do you see any winged bugs flying around?bang the pot around a little, stir anything up that might be in the soil, if you move the pots around enough something will fly out IF its there.

if you don't have them its no big loss since it is a preventative also. but if they aren't present then it may be a mag def or something, I have a really hard time diagnosing shit and don't know how people can guess/know so easily.

The flushing part is also a good idea since then MAYBE you can see larvae in the runoff and this would tell you its a pest problem. azamax will (or is supposed )to take care of these things

ok I don't think there's anything flying around but I will stir up the soil a bit here soon and will be flushing next time I water. Where do you get azamex cause I live in CO too this is my first person closet grow medically if you get it at a local hydro store I'd love to know

yeah any local hydro store should carry it, it isn't cheap but if you know you don't have bugs you can use a weak solution as a preventative , Colorado is ate the fuck up with pests that luv the weed.

I just flushed last night and I'm starting to lean toward your mg deficiancy I was reading in my book and that was the most spot on defect. So my question is this guy said to get a certain type of salt and att 2 tsp per gallon, anyone else have easier at home methods for getting the mg normal this is starting to take over my babies and I'm in fear of having to chep em

it's def not though I've looked over every inch of the plants I flushed them and dug around in the soil like the guy and my book said it's prolly mag defic my book explained it spot on to what happening there were no pests that related to what's happening

but if you're in colorado I'd def suggest the axamaz, you can be in soil and not have a clue you have pests at the rootzone and in colorado there are def pests. Do you know how small a root aphids is? I'd have NEVER known I had them unless I was growing with the white igloo coolers that I use, I noticed a very very small speck of something on it moving around. to see these pests you have to use a scope and in soil that's not gonna be an easy task.

If you'll research aphid damage you'll see that it looks VERY similar to a mag deficiency .

from another forum.............I think those are root aphids...... do you have any fliers? I had them and it really stalled some plants and showed up like Mg deficiency. I sprayed and soil drenched with azamax, after some pyrethrium spray on the plant and soil. 3 days later I saw every stage of life from eggs, those, and fliers dead everywhere in the cabinet. i thought the fliers were gnats at first, gnats and Mg def) I had to transplant a few days later and they've really taken off.

can't find any bugs for a week now just bigger plants. If this is the case you might look at the aza products.

it could be in the soil yes and I do need to get a magnifying glass but i flushed and saw nothing and dug around in the soil, saw nothin... so my fear is if i go get things to rise the Mag but thats not it the plants wil die from mag overdose no? im sure i need to go get some azamax that wont hurt anything correct? theres nothing that i know of thats flying around the room i do not have any strips but i was thinking about getting double sided tape for the room so i need to go and get some azamax and flush those babies again?

also i was on a complete shakedown earlier and i saw something white fly off the plant and into the soil, but it was a seed!! ive never heard of this it was almost like it was curled up inside the leaf and it just dropped into the soil?! I will be posting a new thread with pics on a new subject but one of them has one of the problematic leaves
