Need help choosing a strain. First grow.

if you want plants for straters i would go with big bud and durban poison as durban you can not kill the plant if you try they are a true weed and will survive at all cost. thing like big bud. pineapple chunks. strains like these can take a lot of hammer and a lot of nutes and produce big yields even if the conditions are not optimum. so good for the learning curve

im thinking of having 4-5 plants if space permits and id love to pull 224g off the grow which at 800w i think is not asking to much but i dont really know what im talking about lol.i8i8i8i8i8i8i8

you can pull out more than 400g out of there and you don´t need 800W

i used some 36W extra from two 18W CFL 6400K for 2 weeks.
if u have 800W of light , than you will have about 1000W (1kWh) electric consumption ... that is expensive

I´ve remembered that i have some pictures around here from the AK48 grow. Here they are :

will the 4 100w cfls really pull that much power? i thought they didnt use alot . or maybe i dont have 800w my math is probably shit 400w mh plus 400w cfl=800?

if u use a magnetic ballast for the mh it will eat with around 20-25% more energy than the lamp (400W lamp = more than 500W consumption) and about the CFl ... i don´t really know how much they eat becouse i only used some small ones
What color did you said the CFL´s are ?

2 at 2700 and 2 at 6500 i might be wrong on those numbers cause im stoned but i olled them up before i grabbed them they are the blue and red spec i believe

I've grown Vanilla Kush from Attitude 2x with good results.

you can use the 6500K for grow and nothing more for 3-4 weeks and after that , depending on how tall do you want the plants, you can put to work the mh bulb and when go to flowering you can use the 2700K CFL´s along with the hps bulb. that is what i would do.

sounds good bro, i had heard that mixing them gives you a good balance of specs but ill just do 4 and 4 on the different cycles.
