My Grow Video / Journal - BERRY BOMB, WHITE WIDOW & SLH.

Welcome to my First Ever Grow! :lol:

I have decided to get my 1st grow journal back up and running again; it will be in VIDEO format most of the time to 'enhance' your viewing experience haha.:-P

Will do two video's for the first two weeks then a video every fortnight as 'progress updates' :leaf: *SUBSCRIBE*;-)

Details on my 1st Grow:

Hyrdo setup in grow tent, 400 watt MH (Vegging) & 600 Watt HPS (flowering), Flood and drain system; Cooltube setup; two plants in hydro one plant in coco coir.

1 x Berry Bomb (Bomb Seeds):leaf:
1 x White Widow (Seedsman):leaf:
1 x Super Lemon Haze (Greenhouse):leaf:

Room Conditions & Feeding Shedule:

Ph Level is kept between 5.8 and 6.0 (Resivour/Tank PH Level)

Fed 3 times a day for Two minutes at a time (During Light Hours) - Flood & Drain @ Appropriate EC levels.

Ahhh yes, good to join a grow right from the start, this is gunna turn out really nicely I think

Your lights is fine where it is. You want your plants to grow as tight as possible, short node length is ideal so keep the lights close and dont let them stretch out or you will lose budsite potential. If you can hold your hand on the light then you could easily bring your lights down alot closer to the plants. Thats a really nice strain line-up, just watch out for the super lemon haze, it will want to stretch like a mofo! I suggest you don't top the other 2 but that you top the SLH at least once or even twice. its gunna grow tall and lanky unless you keep it really close to the light(but even then it will grow tall and lanky so LST/top/do whatever it takes)

I'm growing some Big Bombs right now, so technically Our plants are sisters! haha pollinated from the same male plant.

Yea man love video journals... so much better. But I don't know how to make a decent video with my camera/editing and all that. But I take pretty good photos. Gotta edit in some chill tunes in your videos, it makes it a real experience.
I like going on youtube and checking out the videos there but in all the comments below its nothing but trolls lol

Looking good brotha, def sub'd for this. Really looking healthy, I forgot how fast hydro veg's as compared to soil or coco. You make me want to upgrade my setup for the next run. I just spent a good 5-7k on my room, and want to change it all haha. Cant wait to see that white widow all mature, good luck man.

I dont know how to edit my videos and put some music.in background.. Its a good idea but no clue how to do it.

It was just a thought, actually I like the commentary better.

But I remember this one video where the guys shows off his room full of flowering plants.. and there is this minute long intro of erie suspense music while he slowly moves towards the room and opens the door into the bright flowering room, perfectly accomanied by the suspensfull music that was tripping me out... Really sets the mood if you are stoned already
But obviously you cant do that with every update lol

this is my first subscribed thread! glad im going to be able to follow this grow from the beginning. your setup is inspiring.. lol cant wait to see how they turn out!

edit: and the video journal is def a nice touch. :leaf:

good stuff man, thats some fast growth!

How are you going to control the smell during flower? your attic will be be seeping out pot smell, anyone walking by with a good nose will smell it.

Your pH in coco should be 5.8, its the same as hydro.

I guess I could help you out with topping like you asked, how many tops do you want to have? I would top them in another week. Its really straight forward, all you do is choose the node you want to cut above, take a clean razor blade and cut the top off at a 45 degree angle(the 45 degree angle is simply to prevent water from sitting on the cut stem). Cut about a half inch to 3/4 of an inch above the node so that as the side branches grow bigger and bigger they have room to expand, if you dont give them enough room to expand they will end up splitting open later on(just happened to me but I don't think it's going to be a big problem). The only hard part is deciding when to cut and how high up the plant you want to cut.

You can use the top that you cut off as a clone btw so keep that in mind.
Your super lemon is going to get really tall in flower so maybe top her twice in veg to keep her at the same height as the indicas.
29 celcius is pushing it pretty high, it should be safe, but if it climbs a few more degrees while your not home it could do some damage and slow growth.
Don't worry about bringing temperatures way down to bring out the purple just yet, youll sacrafice growth doing that. Wait until the last few weeks of flower to consider dropping temps down.
if night temps are 10 degrees lower than day temps you might want to consider using something for heat during the night hours. Large fluctuations in temperature between night and day cause plants to stretch more(not seeming to be a problem just yet).

I like the setup, its very clean. how many grows have you done?

No more updates until flower? :(

Thanks for that; ill aim for a P.H of 5.8.!!

In regards to smell... yes that will be an issue exactly like you stated; so my plan is to get a 'carbon filter' and attach it to the existing ducting that leads out of the attic to remove the smell.

Topping wise you detailed it good; i just down understand the terms too much just yet.. but i vidoes on youtube that are giving me tips to learn.
Do you have a reccommended video i could watch in regards to topping the plants?... in regards to the super lemon haze, i only want to top it twice.

I dont plant on making any clones until i setup a uniuque smaller grow tent dedicated to this; but thats atleast three months down the track.

I have also dropped the room temperature down to 27 C, 28 C ....Degrees Celcius.. (But keep in mind its because my light is super close - 8 inches away now)
If i had my light about 18inches away like most people the temperate at plant level will drop down to 22 C.
Im in the middle of summer in my part of the world; so if the house gets warm.. the grow room gets warm.average abouts 32 C outside most days.. in winter i wont expect any heat problems considering in winter outside temerates range from 2C & 15C .

This is my first indoor grow; and my first official grow.
Other grows have been bag seed tests & uncussessful outdoor grows..
i did hours and hours or youtube and internet research, compared grows and i set up my room so its 'self sufficient' and easy to run.

This grow room is the best because its a 'controlled' environment' thats best suited for the plants.. which is why they grow so well and you just need to make sure nutrients, water and PH levels are good, check the room setup ensure all is working.. thats all i do.
