AK-47 SCRoG / DWC / Pro-Grow 260

This is a legally compliant MMJ grow and I have been a patient for a while.

This is my second grow, I learned a ton of valuable hands-on information going through my first grow which was two Northern Lights under a 150w HPS in DWC in a 2x3x5 tent using the Fox Farms 3 part. Total dry was 72g. Not too much but nice and dense nugs that are also a smooth smoke.

My situation makes it difficult to move up to a bigger HPS because of heat, so after lots of research I invested in a Pro-Grow 260 LED panel which is arriving tomorrow. I have to say that they are really quick and helpful when it comes to customer service and handling orders.

Onto the important stuff....

For this grow I'm using:

-AK-47 Clone
-2x3x5 Tent with pc exhaust fan at the top
-4x23w daylight CFLs, 2x warm CFLs
-Pro-Grow 260
-7" Oscillating fan
-DWC system using standard black 5-gallon bucket & airstone. Whisper 60 air-pump.
-Cutting Edge Solutions 3-part Line
-Superthrive, Botanicare Silica Blast, Botanicare Cal-Mag Plus
-Botanicare Hydroplex or Liquid Koolbloom (Never used a PK booster before, suggestions?)
-Humboldt Honey Hydro (Carbs)

The clone I received originally was not in great shape (see picture) it had a mite problem, so I took this as a chance to learn how to deal with these things and followed a stickied guide on RIU to make a pepper-spray that killed em off. After that the clone really took off after I got it into the DWC.

Seeing as how I haven't been able to get my light until tomorrow I've been vegging with a powerstrip CFL fixture. I believe this is week 4 of veg, just hit the screen. Roots are super white and I am honestly in love with the CES nutes. No residue in the bucket and the plants real happy.

Below is also a picture of my DIY DWC Bucket Scrog setup. Done with PVC Pipe and these organizer pieces I found. Allows you to take off the bucket lid to do res changes. This is my first scrog. There is also a picture of a nug of my first grow ;)

Any suggestions and comments welcomed. Excited to see how my first LED experience is and to share it with you guys.

From what I understand/have read, the PG 260 has a larger ratio of Red to White/Blue (Vegging) LED's than the PG 180 for more flowering power in full spectrum mode, I will let you know if I found out for sure. That's why I went with the 260.

Beef, have you had better results vegging in veg or full spectrum mode? Thanks

Nice setup James......and cool equipment...
I have a feeling you'll be happy with that pro-grow260..

Edit: I noticed you even lined the pump with mylar.......haha awesome, going all out I see..

Pro Grow 260 came in. This thing is really bright. It seems like this model has more blue leds than others I've seen in pictures? In veg mode the spectrum is a really "blue white" . Full spectrum is blinding. Impressed with the light output! I think I'll veg with full spectrum seeing as how I will go 12/12 in maybe a week or two, and more light is more light in my eyes.

The full spectrum is actually more white than the purple in the pictures.

Thanks Psuagro, I used aluminum duct tape to cover the air pump. Dunno if it'll make a difference but what the hell.

BudReaky, the 260 is better for flowering from what I know. I haven't called when HH was open to speak to a representative about it.

My moto is more is better. I run Full spectrum mode all the time.

Yeah id say that's a great benefit about switchable spectrums......lots of people knock it, but i feel it gives you more options(experimentation/height issues/late flowering/ect.)......
And who doesn't like options anyways........

Flipped this thing to 12/12 today. I was vegging 20/4 prior. On Cutting Edge Solutions 3 part "Transition" nute schedule along with Superthrive, CalMg+, and Silica Blast. I have to say that my roots are PEARLY white with this stuff and it seems hard to nuteburn. I think I've found my favorite hydro line-up. My bucket is always pretty damn clean when I empty it for the weekly res change too.-Ppm's hovering around 900-1000 ppm. Will bump this up after the stretch as well as add Botanicare Hydroplex (after 2 weeks). Will stop Superthrive after the stretch as well.-Temps a steady 68-76 degrees.-Cleaned up the canopy a little bit.I think I'm only going to lst during the first week 1/2 of flowering and then let the shoots grow through. I have some extra vertical room and this indica is quite bushy making it harder to keep tucking huge fan leaves down and arranging bud sites. Still loving my PG260. Everything seems to be going quite well, and much faster than my first grow. Thanks for checkin' in guys.

Looking Great Mr Bong. How Far Do You Have Your Light Set At.Peace And Hair Grease :weed:

When I first got it I had it at about 12" above the screen. Now I've dropped it down to 10" without any problems, will probably have to raise it again once I get through the stretch.
