that shouldnt be in a signature for a business email, silly and non professional. If it makes you uncomfortable that is reason enough to tell a supervisor that its creepy, it isnt that big of a deal, and face it , its 2012 and with the laws these days, you have every right to ask him to change it. I dont agree with it but its the law.

Chongsbuddy, do you see the contradiction in Einstein's quote? Peace can be attained by understanding but not held by it, since the people who arrived at the understanding go away. War is a timeless constant of the human condition, like the weather. Complaining about it (raising one's voice) is a feelgood maneuver, but (Einstein notwithstanding) the only way to hold the peace ultimately is in the hands of those who are willing to carry the steel to the target. Jmo.

This is more general advice then something pointed at the weird dude specifically.

If your state allows it get a conceal carry license. You seem like a reasonable and nice person so I don't see any harm in you carrying a gun for protection.

Do try to get the best training you can afford because some CCW training is little more then cycle rounds through a firearm without loosing any fingers. The legal aspect of self defense often gets lost, and too few seem to stress that the gun can make things worse if used in a situation that doesn't call for that level of escalation.

He's a hacker - in my experience they usually have differing personalities from ordinary folks. If he's not bothering you there isn't much you can do but judge him on what his projects are. If he's using an arduino to make himself a souped up cattle-prod with optional nipple clamps chances are he's a weirdo but what if he's modding a teddy bear to sing and dance?

Just what is wrong with a reasonable, trained, and licensed individual carrying a firearm for self defense?

If you had read my post you would see that my advice has nothing to do with the dude in question and everything to do with her having the legal right to get a license and carry a firearm.

God forbid that she be able to walk through a parking garage at night with some assurance that she could effectively defender herself if she did get attacked. God forbid that muggers or rapists have to wonder if their potential victim is going to be armed.

i guess im a total weirdo.but hey i live in canada where possession of a hand gun is major prison time...and i think that is there for a reason.i am just stating my opinion here...

im a hunter,but i do believe that a concealed weapon is just asking for trouble.but in the states its a lot different cause its allowed.

gotta understand we all have different values and opinions,i dont call anyone a troll for stating their opinion so why do you?

with that im done here.
