lights are busted!!

Well I just started my new grow after my NL plant failed. I started just one lemon skunk seed and it sprouted not to long ago. I was using one 150w HPS light to grow. I work all day so I have my brother take care of the plant when I'm at work. When I came home last night he told me he broke the lights.....little did I know he spilled water on the entire thing. My question is can I use regular white or florecent lights until I can replace my HPS system? Those will be fine during vegg right? We don't have hydroponic stores near by so it's going to take me a while to replace it.

if i was u i would putt in some cfl's till i get another light...home depot carries hps light bulbs for cheap scope em out.............:joint:

I agree you should check homedepot or lowes or something but the flouros is all you got its all you got man better than nothing good luck

lol all I have right now is a 100w white light.....can I use this for about a week untill I replace the HPS or would it be better to grow indoors through the window? I have one spot in the house were light always shines through the window...

if its only a week then might as well go with the window spot .....just let me remind u that do be suprised u see some strech going on............but try n pick up a bulb asap.............:joint:

Yeah I figured I'd be better off with the window spot over the pos white light. I just hope it doesn't stretch out though.....as it stands right now with the four leaves it's a pretty short plant and the stem is very thick. Actually I'm a little suprised how thick the stem is right now cause my NL plants stem wasn't that thick until after 3 weeks. I hope this is a good sign......
