ok im gonna do it im gonna put my seedlings under a cfl and im gonna pump this sativa bitch up im gonna clean up with this one its gonna be a personal bestyah!!! that's a good thing...sativa strains can take anywhere from 10-16 weeks man...depending on dominance, and they are still filling out...nicely too, why would you come this far... just to chop early??? sure the trichomes are all cloudy, and you could harvest?.... but i still see the buds swelling

usually they will swell up in the final weeks.... so you just could hit an all time best, with just a bit of patience. 
I chopped last night, thanks for whoever had the tip to use a camera and zoom. I have a cannon slr and between the lens zoom, and the digital zoom, I saw all up in those trichs... Must've been luck, cuz there was about 50% amber. Most was on the leaves, while the center of the flowers were still clear mostly.Excellent!!! That's what i like to here...who knows, they just might ripen in the next week or two...just keep checking the trichomes and if you see any amber.... time to chop!!!

i looked last night and i seen new bud growth so it is still getting bigger i just cant beleave how big its getting sativa takes a long time but it is very interesting to see it get huge my next strains are mainly indica got cheese and big bomb so from what they say its 8 to 9 weeksExcellent!!! Yes they were somewhat cloudy. I was a little thrown off because the leaves were almost pure amber, while the budz were mostly clear to cloudy. I think it was about right, but I guess I'll know after the cure... I never really noticed before, but is it common for the leaves to turn amber before the budz?
ok least you had some cloudy...yes trichomes on the leaves are a bit older than the new bud growth, so naturally they will ripen a bit quicker on leaves than the newly formed buds.
also some plants will ripen from the bottom up...good to check everywhere and you will see.

Cheers and thanks for the explanation lime, makes sense. This single plant was just a test subject in my new aero setup, so I wasn't even expecting to take it all the way. It certainly has been a trooper...
