one of my babies is showing signs of her lady parts :) so I'm curious do I want to stop giving them veg food I don't think I'm going to flower until all 3 are showing signs which I'm hoping will be feb 1 so should I start giving them tiger bloom now or no food until I start the 12/12, or keep up with the veg food because the next water is when they're going to need some more...

when u switch to 12/12, then next feeding give it flower nutes. just keep giving it veg nutes until ready to flower

During the stretch phase of flowering your plant uses alot of nitrogen. for that reason i prefer to just start giving flowering nutes once every 2 feedings give of veg nutes until the end of the stretch phase. Also, do not be afraid to give a little veg food if you see leaves starting to yellow and die off once it goes into the budding stage of flowering, you want them to stay around making energy for as long as possible.

hey broadster, im going to flower mine feb 1 also...thats a kwinkie dink. Oh i got up early to give my plants tiger bloom for the first time today. i know its 7 days away from the switch but the guy at the hydro shop said it was ok since i didnt have anything or very little left in the FFOF soil. 2 teaspoon per gallon it instructed, but i am going to put in 1 tea spoon per gal. Hey since your plant is the same size as mine...wanna see who gets the most buds off of one plant? i know we got different strain but it'll give me more of a push to be a better pot grower.

I'm using FFOF and I have not given them the full dose yet I was going to on the next feeding because they love it but thanks for the info dark! And super I'm game for that! How many do you have 3? I've got one showing signs so I'm hoping the other 2 do as well

Broadster, i have a few plants ranging from 10" to 15". You pick one of yours and measure from soil. I will pick 2 because im not sure if they will be male or female. Which ever is the female that would be the competitor . I will tag them and take pics with measurements. Did you already use tiger bloom already? This morning was the first time i used it. Oh, i did some reading about adding a couple of inches of fresh FFOF to the top of the soil wasnt going to hurt my plant so i did.

that's perfect mine were 10 a week ago so I'm sure they're just in that range and 2 works great because I have two tall ones and a short stumpy one(hoping for a quarter). I have not added any flowering nutes yet I've been a little short even with my veg food but I need to go and pick me up some along with some more OF my babies would probably love that then their soil is a little low!

ok, what is the height that we are going to use? 11" or 12" measure yours from the soil to the top canopy and i will pick 2 of the plants that are closest to that measurements an will take pics of it with measurements.

that sounds awesome man I'm excited! It's called pre flowering they show their parts just quite small 5th node or so up and the base they're tiny but noticeable.

when you start to see alternating nodes is when i start looking for preflowers. You see alternating nodes and preflowers are the plants way of saying it is sexually mature and ready to begin flowering when you are. It should happen regardless of light cycle or strain. Sometimes female preflowers will not form properly and not spit out a little pistil so i dont ever chop based on preflowers and will first put them into 12/12 to confirm it as their is plenty of time between when you can tell for sure its a male and when that male starts to become a risk to any females. honestly i dont ever use a magnifying glass, they dont take long to become visible to the naked eye.
