I'd say somebody is happy in her new soil. :lol:

The other plants are doing well also, but they haven't changed much since two days ago. This one just really "popped: (Goten - it's a VK!)

And while we're on the VK, here's my ill-fated plant... bless her heart, she's actually been out of her seed and trying to make it for 100 days. And this is all she has managed to accomplish. Of course, it's not entire her fault. I just didn't have the heart to let her die in peace...

violator kush? If so, I've heard that there are some great phenotypes and some wacked out ones so this may have been a little wacky!

Apparently I did miss the pics of your recent auto. That looks nice! I want all the details! How much did you get, how long did it take, how good is the smoke? The 'Tude apparently wants me to grow an auto. Every time I order from there I end up with a new auto seed. I gave away 2 of them already and now, I've got a third. I may just have to give it up and grow one.

We keep missing each other!

I don't weigh wet, so it's hanging now and I will let you know dry weight when I have it. She took 91 days from germ exactly. Grew her in veg with my other little girls under t-5 lights. Probably would have bigger buds had I used MH or HPS....but she still came out pretty good. She may be the stickiest of all.... and I have chopped up a lot of plants in my time :-)

Haven't tried her yet. I am drying her in another room because she makes me sneeze?

The air pots come flat, you have a round bottom piece that you "roll" the sheet around and then secure it with a plastic screw...that's what the blue thing is. Bigger pots have one at the top an the bottom, smaller only need the one at the top. When it's time to re-pot you just remove the screw and unwrap her :-)

The auto plants are worth a shot, they don't get very big but watching them bud and not worrying about their light cycle is sweet..especially if they are toss-in's, that's what mine were also. I don't think I would pay for an auto as I can't get my money's worth like I can regular seeds that you can clone. Can't clone an auto as the clones will go into bud the same time the mom does, can't hold them back!

I've heard that about Violator Kush too, but this one is Vanilla Kush...and she has had issues not because of genetics so much as "operator error". I have abused this poor plant beyond belief. If nothing else, I'd say that this pheno is especially strong given all I've put her through.

I actually saw some laying out flat in the grow store today. And they had that little blue thingy so a little light bulb went off in my head. These were really tall and thin...almost looked like a vase! And yeah, I saw the one Amber sent Joey in his video. They look really cool. I'm using SmartPots and I really like them.
 
Great grow, Bluejeans. I would be very interested if you could list out all of your soil amendment products and in what ratio you mix each into your soil/soiless mix. Also, what kind of soil are you starting with? I was planning to try the good stuff, like Fox Farm OF, Sunshine Mix 4 or ProMix. Where I live, I have never seen these at the local hardware stores. Does anyone know a good website to order this, or should I keep looking for a nursery or Bigbox store that sells them? I also do a little reading myself on RIU on the different potting soil/soilless mixes. I have been too busy researching seed genetic possiblities, which are just endless.

Grandma, you got lucky getting that clone and it turning out to be good smoke. Mad props to your lighting and bathtub setup. Have you thought or do you have a reflector/hood for your lights, you might could get 10% more effective lumens with one. Also, if you built a growbox, you would probably have to run vent fans and charcoal filtering to keep the heat from your lights in the box down, just a thought to help with the cold problem you have.

Glad you enjoyed reading about my girl. Yeah that first plant was such a fluke and has worked out so well for me. I've got that reveg in my grow room now and two clones from that reveg.

As for my recipe, I'll get back to you on that. I will tell you that I started with Fox Farms Ocean Forest, reused...after my first grow, I pulled the plants out, sorted out the biggest root bits and tossed them, spread the soil out to dry and turned it for about a week, then "amended" it with:

bat guano
earthworm casings
bone meal
kelp meal
dried blood meal
marine cuisine (happy frog)
fruit & flower (happy frog)
Plant Success (endo/mychor)

I mixed up about 10 gallons, but then I worked out the measurements for a single gallon going forward.

I like your mix granny but still think you should add dolamite lime in there 1cup per cuft of soil especially with reused dirt it will help ph a bunch

Obviously not bro didn't you read she reused ffof lol. Not being a dick here but those are a list of organic amendments. Tas well as a couple fertilizers also organic, it doesn't matter your base mix so much if you can ammend it better and just cause you read it as someones coir or soiless mix doesn't mean someone else out there doesn't call this there soil ammendment mix.

I know... and I fully intend to move to coco, but for now I had to make do with what I had. I'm getting things a little better each run. I know this was designed with coco in mind and it will probably be even better in coco than in "used" soil. It's early to make any sweeping statement, but so far, things seems to be going very well.

It's working for me and yes, it's one recipe out of millions of possible combinations, but this one *was* given to me as a coco recipe. I just used what I had on hand and bought the necessary amendments with the goal of switching to coco at some point. But for now, it's super and I'm loving it!

Not trying to fight my man, I simply stated that its a list of ammendments, I also said earlier I think its a good list, and those ammendments are for either soil or coco no need to be uppity about what is, after all it may even work better in ffof which has coir in it than it performs in straight coir

On another note. Uhoh! The same thing is starting to happen that happened 2 nights ago when I got deathly sick with a temperature of 103. For some reason my pinky finger and index finger on my right hand are going completely numb. This happened two nights ago and I ended up with a temp of 103. I was so sick I thought I was going to die. Not sure if the numbness is just a coincidence but it got me worried. I was scary sick

Anyways just thought I stop by again and see what was up. Keep doing ur thing blue!
 
Yeah I don't doubt the recipe of amendments would work in whatever u put it in. But its been used in coco. Was designed for coco because of reusing the coco. I thought u were being shitty by the tone of your response. If I was incorrect my bad.
