I just found and purchased a 400 watt mh that comes with a ballast and the bulb for $131.57

if its a magnetic ballast , you cant go wrong. and if it was an hps it will run a mh with no switch. the switch is a gimmick. a rebuilt magnetic ballast will out perform a brand new digital all day.
if its magnetic you might need a 5 dollar part in 20 years , if its a digital , you'll need 10 new ballasts in that time.

like i said whether its digital or mag , all hps ballasts will run a mh bulb with NO ill affects. no switch needed , but will not work the other way around.
so for 10 more bucks you can tell them to send you the hps instead. ?

i dont like it at all unless your a lil more advanced. people do it all the time , but i would heavily research that one before using it.

what seems to be the prob ? do you have new pics ? i think you said something about brown spots , which could be a number of things. (N def, NPK def, Mg def, ect...)
you gotta be very careful with those nute charts they have, they can lead you into more trouble.

I don't have any pics. Right now. I can try to get some. I have red spots all over my fan leaves and the tips of the leaves are now turning brown. I was using a lot of lime in my water. I stopped that a couple days ago. I'm more positive that I have an mg deficiency than I am sure about anything else. It's really hard to tell though from anyone's advice. Because you have one person saying N toxicity. Other saying N deficiency, another person saying Ca deficiency and so on and so forth.

Chop if you want but she is not quite there yet.If you're in a rush you might want to cut back your timer back to 10hrs. You got way to many green and new pistil growth going on. My opinion only though .

Sativas will keep going forever strain dependant of course and sometimes it's worth forcing them to finish.The only way I know how to do this is to cut light from 12 hrs to 10 hrs for a week and then cut it back more to 8 hrs then total dark for 36 hrs.You might get more weight in your buds..But what ever your plants look good. The pic is what you would really like to see before you chop. No green and Packed. Peace

I think you're right. I need to be patient a little longer and it'll be worth it. maybe i'll do one or two this weekend then let the other ones continue so i can see the difference. hmmm....

No filter yet, I plan on attaching one when I need it though. The fan is too loud from outside the room so I was thinking of putting the filter on the outside after the fan, I'm just not sure how I feel about pushing through it instead of pulling. Otherwise I'll need an $80 muffler plus the filter. It just feels redundant to buy both.
