tax rate is the last thing businesses consider in their hiring decision:

http://thinkprogress.org/economy/2011/12/09/385989/republicans-job-creators-taxes/

NPR put out a request to Republican offices and the business groups that have been lobbying against the surtax to find business owners who’d be affected. Unsurprisingly, Republican leadership and the business groups came up empty:
We wanted to talk to business owners who would be affected. So, NPR requested help from numerous Republican congressional offices, including House and Senate leadership. They were unable to produce a single millionaire job creator for us to interview.
So we went to the business groups that have been lobbying against the surtax. Again, three days after putting in a request, none of them was able to find someone for us to talk to. A group called the Tax Relief Coalition said the problem was finding someone willing to talk about their personal taxes on national radio.
There’s good reason why Republicans came up empty. Just 2 percent of people with any business income, large or small, would be affected by this tax increase.
Contrary to the GOP’s rhetoric, NPR found several business owners who’d be affected who insisted that the tax wouldn’t hurt hiring at all. “It’s not in the top 20 things what we think about when we’re making a business hire,” said one business owner. It “didn’t even make it on the agenda.” Another business owner said that, even with slightly less disposable income, the marginal tax rate “has nothing to do with what my business does.”
Indeed, business owners have long been telling Republicans that the marginal tax change makes “zero difference” in hiring. “I’m no sure what the connection is” between raising tax rates and hiring, said Anchor Brewing CEO Keith Greggor, adding that not a lot of “small-business owners I know are millionaires.” But Republicans like Thune refuse to let facts challenge their dogma. “I think most small-business owners who are out there right now would argue that raising their taxes has the opposite effect that we would want to have in a down economy,” he said

NLXSK insists that he is starting a bevy of super awesome businesses, or would have had that oppressive democrat not been elected :dunce:

yet it appears he doesn't understand the first thing about business.

i am not surprised in the least.

Absolutely, damn, even business owners say that taxes have an effect on their hiring but they are lying to you. IF (except when one's wife demands that brother billy work at the firm), the present staff cannot handle the work load and the work load will prospectively bring in more money than the total cost of their employ, then a business owner will hire. Now, tax rates play a roll in that decision but it is minor and is NEVER EVER EVER an incentive to hire. We hire only as a last resort and we hire only when current staff cannot cope
(some, not even then)

Nobody - "invests" in jobs, everyone claims their employees are their most important asset but you will never find payrol in the asset column in your books.

So, as a mod not only are you ignoring personal attacks you are agreeing and supporting them?

Well, that is a demonstration of your impartiality in life ;]

If any of your assumptions were vaguely true I might feel bothered but here I sit LOL'ing at you........

assumptions? like what?

when i point out that hiring decisions are not based on tax rates, that is not an assumption, that is a statement of fact.

i even cited that fact. you only speak ad hoc.

and speculation about whether or not you are sitting in a basement right now is just that: speculation.

Dont worry, I am not gonna report you.

Just another example of how you hypocritically enforce the rules on the forum. So'kay I dont expect fairness.

It is what you liberals do.. You run out of valid arguments which happens usually immediately and then jump to personal attacks. When you got nothing you have to use misdirection to avoid it being obvious you lost the debate.

And then you accuse me of doing exactly the same things you do so well...

So yeah, I am LOL'ing...

Added so you dont accuse me of deflecting.

Assuming that I am unemployed
Assuming that I am fat
Assuming I live with my parents
Assuming I live underground
Assuming I do not have businesses.

And seriously I do. However, unfortunately due to the anonymity of the internet I fear some shithead might try to fuck with them and/or me IRL if they had a chance. So, just like the growing stuff I am not going to give out much information.

i don't moderate personal attacks. this much should be obvious by now.

so, nothing to say about businesses not basing hiring decision on tax rates? are you just gonna deflect and play victim?

as a super awesome businessman, this should be right up your alley.

Did you even read my post? I said I have been in business for 9 months and already 50% into the black. I dont know that it would qualify as successful since I would need to show an evil profit for it to qualify.

But in an effort to be cooperative I would say that my income within the last 10 months was somewhere between 12,000 and 15,000 dollars.

A line of credit tied to my house. That is the other side of it, most people go into debt pretty deep when starting a company.

Hopefully I am in the black by June. I will be doing alot of advertising in the next few months.

I wish your business all the best and hope it succeeds but you seriously cant be happy knowing that even making ten times what you make now youll still be paying the same taxes as someone making 100x as much.

I wont be paying the same taxes as someone making 100X as much. That is the point you keep missing.

And to be honest, I dont base my life around what other people do or do not do. I am not trying to compare myself to Bill Gates and looking for fairness.
