Yeah...my plants are always dry on top...that is perfectly fine...it's when you stick ur fingers in....if it's still kinda moist just leave it another day or so....k?

keep the fan going dont overwater let in fresh air a few times a day and just let em grow what day r u on from planting in soil?

I am day 13 from planting in soil. (I germinated in the soil)
And i'll be sure to leave it a day or two extra this time before watering. I have one of those light/moisture/ph meters but i don't trust the damn thing. anybody have experience with those? it's a cheap one from lowes.

I have a few different types of those meters.. I use the light one to kinda judge my light spread on the canopy ( maximize my lights efficiency) the moisture meter was a good learning tool but i don't use it much any more ( I tend to judge my weight and sticking my finger down 2-3 inches to check for moisture)
THe PH one i tried but like you i didnt trust it I instead bought the ph tester drops.. i got 250 tests for around 5 bucks and i trust that over the meters.

also i would say give them another week or so and if the new growth looks unhealthy post pics

My humidity is about 50% give or take... I think it rises some during night hours. The new growth looks alright, but i'm worried the biggest of the new growth might be starting to show similar signs the bad leaves do. Maybe i'm just being worried, but does anybody know what would cause this?
It's dark brown spots at the very end of the leaves surrounded by spots of light green and a very dark green color throughout the rest.

Will first Im proud that you can make a sly remark good job sir, but if you actually read before posting I asked about his lights, before he even said anything about his lights, and also the way I was meaning it to come off was your going to need more as time goes on, so you assuming about what I meant just tells you about yourself, but as far as the perlite on top of the soil yeah it reflects light but giving light underneath the leaf will cause it to grow towards it, which may be part of his curling problem due to the heat its also putting off and drying the under side of the leaves to fast, and leaving the tops moist which in turns means tight membranes under, and lose membranes on top, also perlite will stop fungus but not fungus gnats so get it right, and just try to give help to someone that needs it, and not be a jerk to someone trying to help out.

Good idea about the perlite causing drying out of the bottom of the leaf. I mixed the perlite in and removed as much of that damned moss as I could without ripping any roots out. I replaced everything with soil carefully and now I have a nice mix of moist soil. Hopefully this helps her and i'll update in the morning.
Should I mist her at the start of night hours tomorrow so that the leaves get some of there moisture back?

Here are some updated pics from this morning. The bad leaves look like they are almost completely dead... but the rest of the plant is looking better since I removed the perlite sunbath (I think, at least)
The thing I'm worried about is the bigger leaf on the right side (it's focused in on one of the pictures). It looks like it's showing early signs of drooping and what not. I don't want any of my other leaves to die! Any suggestions/advice?

dude ur gunna b ok dont worry urself the new growth looks good just keep taking good care n loving it they r strong plants that wont die easily!!

Absolutely right. Ive put my plants through hell and they are all still alive. Expected the critical to be dead when it looked like this....
Believe it or not it was much worse than that for a few days but I was so upset about over nuting it to death I couldn't bring myself to take a picture of the poor little blighter!
Now only 12 days later.....

Yea on my first grow during the flowering stage, I dont know what the hell I did, but I tried to fix it and made it worse, allllll the damn leaves fell off early, and it broke my heart so much I stopped updating my thread and taking pics of it, but it still grew buds and turned out pretty fire.

Here are some updated pics. The plant is looking great, but i'm wonder what I should do when I have new healthy stem growth coming out to replace what looks like a dead stem with the bad leaves. What do you guys think? Cut the stems? leaves?

i cut mine at the base but if i just have a little burnt bit i cut it off at the leaf where it's dead.
