Hey guys, here's my Pineapple Express. 7 week veg and almost done with week 2 of flower. Topped above the second node and LST'd for 5 weeks. Temps stay anywhere from 70 - 85. pH is usually 5.8-6.2. Using AN 3 part with B-52 vitamin supplement, Voodoo Juice beneficial bacteria, Big Bud PK Booster, Bud Candy, Overdrive, and Final Phase for flushing. Buds are coming in pretty nice now. First time hydro and I'm liking the results so far!

lol, the reason i asked is s.h. has some bad information on there tutorial disk. that messed me up. and they claim you can veg. for only 2 weks and produce a yield that your not gonna get.
 
Hey guys, do you know if water consumption should decrease or increase after the first 2 or 3 weeks of the 12/12 stretch?

I'd say it always increases. It may not drink as much one day as it does another though. For a heavy flowering plant I havent seen one drink less than 1 gallon of water a day. If it stops drinking totally then you can worry...

Also, Advanced Nutrients feeding chart says to stop using Voodoo Juice beneficial bacteria after the 2nd week of flower. Does anyone know why they tell you this? It's had amazing results with my roots thus far (they take up well over a gallon in my 2 gallon reservoir. I'll post pics of them soon.) so I don't exactly see a reason to stop using it. Especially for precautionary reasons for fighting root rot and such. Does anyone have any opinions on bennies at this stage of the grow cycle?
 
Because the roots basically stop growing after that or they slow down quite considerably so using the "over priced" voodoo juice is just like pouring it down the toilet. I am actually surprised AN put that on their feed schedule since most people would use them till harvest if they didn't understand how a plant grows.

looking mighty nice bro... im a dwc convert myself...

i personally stopped using bennies and have not seen any gains/losses since. i change my water every 10 days, and wipe the inside of the cooler also. other than that... check the ph and top off is all i do. water temp (65-70*) and cleanliness (RO h2o) is how i avoid root issues.

you ever grow this strain in soil? if so it will be a good report to see how you like each growing method and its treats.

Ahh that makes sense. I wish I would have actually understood the dynamics of how plants grew a year ago when I bought my nutes. I'm new to the bennie game, but in hindsight I wish I would have went for Great White and Aqua Shield, tbh. 2 great products for more quantity and just as good if not better quality for cheaper. Actually I wish I would have went to a whole different nutrient line honestly. Alas, I will keep using the 3 gallons of 3-part base I bought till they are gone. Then move on to something else. Any suggestions? :)

Also, what about using the beneficial colonization as more of a deterrent to unwanted pathogens and fungi instead of using it to promote root growth? I mean it shouldn't hurt to have a colonization of good bacteria especially if it aids in nutrient break down for the plant when all of the additives are added in flowering, should it? One less variable I have to worry about is kinda how I look it. :bigjoint:

Yeah, it's been getting a little bit toastier in there since the plant has taken up a bigger portion of the tent. The highest I've seen it get is 85.

I mostly like bennies for the preventative effect they have for like unwanted pathogens, fungi's, ect. One less thing I have to worry about. Plus having a gallon size root ball is a nice benefit too. lol I also try to maintain a clean environment too. Reservoir swaps are every 7 day. 1 - 2 gallon feeding a week. Topped off with fresh water when needed.

You know, I have 2 more beans left of PE and I've been wanting to do a test run of Subcool's Super Soil in 7 gallon pots vs. GH Waterfarm. I would love to see PE be the strain that compares the two. :D

Day 22 of flowering:

Here's where she is now. Tric's are building up pretty steadily on the leaves. It's visible by just looking at the leaves now. I'm surprised how quick it's accumulating. This is going to be a frosty plant. :D She's still drinking steadily 1 gallon+ a day. Now for some 3 week buddage! :bigjoint:
