pH question

I have a seedling that is almost 2 weeks old.. some of the lower leaves are getting brown spots and two basically died already. They were started off in FF Light Warrior (which has no nutes). Here's my question. Since the plant isn't taking any food from the soil and only from the cotyledons, is the pH of my water still important at this stage? I've been watering with distilled water and I'm thinking that has to be the problem since there are no nutes and the temp is consistently 77-82 degrees.

yes it is important, although there is room for error. at two weeks you should have a nice root system forming and if this were in hydro id say its even more critical.
