I just wanted to post this video of Romney dissing a man in a wheelchair with muscular dystrophy who simply wanted to ask him, "Will you as president arrest me and my caregivers?" Romney just stopped listening to the man and started talking to others while the man asked his question.

That really pisses me off to see that kind of attitude, because I'm a wheelchair user myself. And I've seen that dismissive attitude directed at me before. It's easy for an able bodied person to just walk away and ignore someone sitting in a wheelchair like they're less than human. Easy if you have a hard heart and no soul, that is. This video is very revealing about Romney's character. Born rich bastard had it easy all his life and never learned to empathize with people who aren't so lucky.

Dave, that was painful to watch.

That is exactly the reason I'm starting my zine, bro. Sure it's all glitz and glam on the outside, but it's a clever disguise for advancing the cause. And it will, my friend.

There are a lot of things about Obama I don't like. But he's gonna get reelected, man. And that's a good thing compared to Mitt fucking Romney being president.

I see more pistils today that have poked out. Here are some examples:

Hairy little suckers. I never saw them this close before.

Looking great! Def don't go off the 55day assumption cause you may get a pheno diff than what consider their PC. I grew a PC outdoor till end of sept. Personally I think I should of cut it sooner and it was so fruity smelling but at the end it lost smell. I chopped at 9.5weeks and that was to long. temps were F'n cold to and didn't help but what can you do.

Looks nice! I envy you outdoor growers. I could never get away with that where I live. I don't even tell most of my friends about my growing.

How is the high from this Pineapple Chunk stuff?

Edit: I just looked at your Pineapple Express thread. Outstanding! I hope my buds look something like that when she matures.

Sunday, Jan 22:

Here's how tall the plant was on the 22nd. Later I'll compare it to the height of the plant yesterday (the 25th).
->

Here's the base of the main stem now. Pretty thick.
->

Here are a bunch of close ups of pistils.
->

For comic relief, here's what happens when you leave a 3 gallon jug of water in the garage when the temp outside is -6° F.
->

Frozen solid. Lucky it was a plastic jug that can expand.

Edit: Forgot to add this leaf photo. Spotty. I think this was from my pH being too low again.
Gotta keep it at 5.8, but it keeps going down every day. I'll probably need to start it off higher, maybe 6.0.
Only saw one other leaf with spots, so not too bad.

Wednesday, Jan 25:

This is how tall she grew in just 3 days.
->

Here's how tall she was 3 days ago.

Quite a stretch. I really hate it, too. Lots of empty space between nodes. Even worse, she's got over a month more to grow and some of the branches are already almost touching the lights. Don't know what happened. But just before this growth spurt, I raised the lights way up to the top of my cabinet. Or maybe it's the high level of nutes I've been feeding her (following the AN nute calculator).

Today I tied down 2 of the tall branches with string. Photos to come.

Here are the branches close up (from yesterday, before tying).

Here are some close up shots from yesterday.

Looking good Dave. The tying down is really the only thing I can think of to do. If you could manage to get most of them tied down you could drop your light a little so they wouldn't stretch as much maybe? I cant afford an AN lineup, but I hear nothing but great things about them. Looking forward to watching her take off :D

Jan 26, 2012:

These shots are from last night. I changed the water & nutes then. Took me about 2 hours I think, after tying & trimming, etc.

Here are the roots.

Here's a wide shot after tying down 2 branches.

Here's a closer shot.

Don't know if it's the best thing, but I want to avoid heat stress for as long as possible. Probably won't take long for them to grow right back up there. Damn stretcher. At least some of those baby buds are getting bigger.

I set the pH close to 5.8 last night, but tonight (the 27th) it was way up to 6.3. Set it back down to 5.8 again.

Looks great. I approve highly of your most recent tie job.

I think this plant looks better than your last.

Thanks man. I thought I limited veg height enough to keep her from climbing up into the lights again. But I'm starting to wonder if that didn't matter. Maybe the problem is the use of T5 HO fluorescent lights. I'm thinking that maybe a plant will always climb up there in order to soak in enough light from them during flower.

I might have to get either a new set of T5 VHO lights, which are a lot brighter, or maybe splurge and get LEDs. The other option I was considering was just skipping veg and flowering from day 1 like DST has done. I might try that as an experiment with all of those extra seeds that I got for free from The Attitude. In dirt, too, just because I'm getting sick of checking pH every day.

I also discovered this morning that there are hormones that limit a plant's stretch, so that would be an easy solution without changing any equipment. I need to investigate that a little more.

Looking good she grew a lot. I wanna say your roots look a tad brown but Best to check with a hydro grower and not pay attention to me. Gonna have a nice yield im sure.

For some reason the pH is going up and down wildly of late. Last night I set it to 5.9 and this morning it was more like 5.3. I freaked when I saw that.
Moved it back up around 5.9-6.0.

Here are some pics of little buds that are growing on my plant.

Getting some trichomes on the leaves here.

Now just a few shots of little buds on branches.

Here's a shot of some pistils up close.

Thanks to the advice of an experienced grower, I moved one of the big CFL lights down under the canopy, where it won't burn any leaves or buds.

I also added a second fan to try to keep the heat from that light from building up too much. The 2 fans together make the air swirl around the cabinet. I just checked the temp under there and it's holding at around 75° F (24° C).

Might be nice if I can put all the electrical stuff on the right under the box on the left, to help airflow coming into the cabinet. (The intake is on the right wall down there.)

Funny how the plant looks so mangy from this angle. From above, it looks like it has a lot more leaves.

Adjusted the pH up twice today. Last set it tonight before lights out to 6.05.
