What's New In The 2012 Garden??

Well I am growing in my room so my mj grow box is where the closet area is gonna be since its out of the way and out of mind.

I ended up having to get rid of 3 things in my room because 2 of them didn't fit the space any more and 1 of them broke. I would buy stuff that is pre built for my room but I don't like the though of press-board built stuff and $100 for it is stupid. I had to buy a bunch of tools and stuff for my tools like drill bits and such just so I can build my own things. I know it cost more money then if I was to buy the pre built stuff but in the end I will be using the tools to build a new shed and such so it makes up for the price of the tools just to build the 3 things that I want. I also plan on building a thing for out side my window so that I can put solar panels on there and run some stuff off of it.
In my eyes theres no such thing as too many tools, and doubles of things are fine too, I just gotta get the wife to see it my way. Because as soon as you get rid of a tool thinking you will never use it, that's when you'll need it. There are tools for everything and everytool has more uses then what it seems to, for example hammers best multitool ever if my new computer acts up I bring out my old one, beat it a few times in front of the new one and seems to run smooth lol . But really I started with one of those cheap wally world mutli tool box with a bit of everything, just super cheap junk. Then as I saw the tools I used the most of, usually by them breaking I would then buy a good version of that tool. Garage sales and second hand stores are gold for cheap priced contractor grade power tools, that again is probaby some wife out there that made some poor chap get rid of 2 out 3 power drills, great for us tho.

Well I was borrowing my friend's and family's tools here and there when I needed them and some of them they said for me to keep them untill I don't need them any more but I bought a cordless tool kit witch came with almost every basic thing people would use except there was no drill bits and such but the ones I bought for my drill cost around $45 including tax and they are titanium.

They are heavy because of the battery but I love the fact you don't have to find a plug or run an extension cord or unplug some thing just to use your power tools or worry about the cord getting in the way and you cutting it or some thing.

Nice I did the same because I love sunflowers and I actually have a yard and a corner which has some rough soil and I heard those grow anywhere and love well draining soil, I currently have 2 kinds of sunflowers going. Your regular monster ones and some red velvets which are the nice red kind, I cant believe how hast they grow, I currently got them going in a foam cup. I wish I had the room for a giant pumpkin.

That's really cool the wife asked me to grow her some gourmet mushrooms but from my last experience growing mushrooms turned out to be a very mouldy experience, I would only try again if I had all the right sanitization gear, I really do hold a grudge against anything I have a hard time growing and just wanna keep trying till I master it I hate being beaten by plants or pests lol.

So do you have any tips? what kind of substrate do you use, I was looking at growing some in bags of hay and maybe an oyster log from some of those innoculated plugs.

The area I have is 19x9 area that I am going to fill up with all kinds of sunflowers. I am going to leave a 5x5 area in the middle to let my daughter have a place to to have tea party's and whatever a 2 year old dose. I did see a time lap video on a sunflower from seed to full bloom and it was one of the coolest things I have ever seen.

Nice that's awesome, growing your daughter a hideout that's a great idea using sunflower. Growing up my grand father had a massive thick cedar bush which I found my way into the center and started to make some room for a hang out, next thing you know I had little plastic furniture in there toys etc... Like you said whatever a kid does in their hang out, My oldest son is only 18mths and i'm already scouting out tree house making trees. lol
