Tax Season

Tax season is in full swing. Just got mine done. The first year I didn't file single. Did a joint return with the wife. Todays our 1 year anniversary actually. Spent doing taxes lol. Got alittle more back than I usually do. My wife didn't make shit, so that helped. I broke it down and we paid just over 14% of our total income in federal taxes. All I got is straight wages and unemployment to report so its quite easy to do them myself. I went to H&R block once and it was a complete sham. Anyway I'm going to use my refund to pay off the last little bit of my credit card debt leftover from vacation, (and by a crossbow God!) And bullets. And rice. So anyone want to talk taxes? What you're going to do with your refund? Try to keep it civilized. Love neopenguin.

I will be paying a hefty amount this season so I'm in no rush to get mine done. I took some money from a 401k to buy a house and they tax me on the entire amount as untaxed income if I'm not mistaken. I'll find out soon. Happy Anniversary Neo!

first year I file separately from ex wife of 13 years...also quit my job of 7 years last november...I preffer to owe taxes and pay in installments instead of getting my refund that is promptly kept by collecting agency anyway...never ending student loans....luckily I waited till Januarry to pull my 401K...Love my new job though!...
Now all I need is a new Girlfriend! Its gonna be a great year!

This time next year, I'm sure my response will be much like yours. The wife wants a mini-us. And I'm not sure I can resist her lovely-bits much longer. ;-)

not a huge return this year, but i did use hefty returns these last two years to invest in greenhouses and big fancy lights. those were some good investments, i must say.

$483 this year will probably just be used to take care of rent and bills.
