ok so this is my question is it ok to smoke(cigarettes or weed) in the grow room? cuz i smoke both around my plants all the time i have heard its bad but with no logic. the reason i do smoke(bud/cigarettes) around my plants is because in nature they would encounter smoke and this helps harden the leaves. i dont really smoke around my flowering plants(filter is right next to my head) because i think it might affect taste but i dont know whats your opinion on this?

i just wouldnt! !. would you smoke in a car with an infant?
i use popping my head in the garden as an excuse NOT to smoke, im sure there are people here who will tell you the botanics behind leaves absorbing the many chemicals associated with smoking.

nicotine is deadly poisonous to cannabis as it is to most living things do not smoke in your grow area :)

Nicotine
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Nicotine is an alkaloid found in the nightshade family of plants (Solanaceae) that constitutes approximately 0.6–3.0% of the dry weight of tobacco,[1][2] with biosynthesis taking place in the roots and accumulation occurring in the leaves. It functions as an antiherbivore chemical with particular specificity to insects; therefore nicotine was widely used as an insecticide in the past,[3][4] and currently nicotine analogs such as imidacloprid continue to be widely used. :)

im a firm believer of chemical/pioson ingestion what does not kill you makes you stronger. we ingest heavy metals and toxins by the pound over the course of a year added poisoning only increases tolerance. thc if you consider it a pesticide is a good example of this. but i guess i do agree with you i wouldnt breath smoke on my seedlings or clones (god forbid) but those dont count because they are not an established life form. another thing i though i might mention is how many organic growers fail to realize how many toxins occur in organic fertilize.r im an orgainc grower, but i know that there is the same amount of toxins in organic growing as synthetic.

delvite i saw the info under your post but that does not say nicotine is poisonous to plants. i believe in the 1900's they were using nicotine as pesticide in hemp fields.. so im not sure about that

There is a very minute amount of nicotine in smoke. IMO the benefits of the Co2 and Co in the smoke out weigh the nicotines harm.

CO2, the plants can possibly eat the smell, and pest reduction from smoke.

I'd say it's a win-win.
