Hempy Buckets

It can be wonderful, easy maintenance. Research the procedure and follow as closely as possible to instruction. I prefer more proactive techniques, but hempy buckets can offer magnificent results.

Did a Hempy bucket on my very first grow ever!! I know you are supposed to have a perlite/vermiculite mix but I ran straight perlite. They work great especially for first timers!!

Google it. It's all over the web or you can search it here. You basically have a bucket and you drill a hole about an inch to two inches from the bottom for drainage and that small space acts as the reservoir for the roots of the plant. When the roots get into the res and start drinking all of the nutes, your plants take off!! Real cheap and simple form of hydro.

So going to try this one plant on my next grow. that's awesome so simple i feel stupid for not thinking about it before.

Hempy method can be great...I use this method now after starting with a DWC. Compared to the DWC, Hempy is less work and maintenence. I prefer it over just about anything besides using living compost. Good luck man

Hempy is awesome but its part of that whole " passive hydroponics" but now a' days you can just straight coco rather than 100% perlite/vermiculite.. Hempy is basically a bucket with perlite/vermiculite with a drain hole in the bottom.

Coco... The Hempy of the 21st century!

Dalaihempy was his name in most forums....he started the movement with all perlite in the bucket then later moved to coco with a perlite res at the bottom. Simple drain to waste...I get wasted draining about it.

Good info my friend!!

That gives me an idea for an experiment: "sandwich" the coco in the middle, with perlite top and bottom- bottom for drainage, and on top to keep down gnats.

Anybody notice this thread was chopped? Posts since the 2/11 Ythor post above are all missing.....all my subscriptions but one are gone too....???
