There is something to say about a company so concerned with marketing, they do no research into the materiels they use to construct their products.

What about future products ?:spew:

That is what I am gonna do when I need to expand..Good concept but others can do better.. It sucks because it wasn't their fauld persue but they are losing mad coustomers.. Thats only part of the problem, unfortunately more often that not, these products are manufactured by third party contractors, to often that means made in China by the lowest bidder. It would be nice if they spared no expense using the proper materials, but time and time again, these things are build by the lowest contract bidder. These things aren't cheap, you'd think they would build them with premium materials....
But to often, They then use inferior parts and worse yet, inferior materials that are detrimental to the plants inside. Then when there's to many problems and complaints flowing in for them to ignore, a recall ensues, like with these grow huts, then the finger pointing starts. Generally companies only do a recall as a last resort, and it must have been a LOT of complains and plant casualties to initiate a recall.

To often than not, If these companies weren't so freaking cheap, they should built them in their home countries or even have them manufactured by a competent manufacturer in any Country, using proper materials, then these recalls would be few and far between, but companies like to squeeze every last penny they can when they accept bids from third parties overseas in China and elsewhere, in the end, it's the consumer who gets screwed. Outsourcing is perfectly acceptable, cutting corners in manufacturing and using inferior materials is not acceptable in any situation.

PS, 2007 was a banner year for China made products that were sold in the USA and elsewhere, and the to numerous to list of China made recalled products. Trust me, I got nothing against China and nothing against HydroHut, but this must have been a costly lesson for them, whatever the root cause of the problem is. My bone is with companies that squeeze every last penny they can, then put out a product that they know is inferior. I feel bad for anyone caught up in a recall, it's usually something that shouldn't have happened if they didn't pinch penniesto begin with. :?

i read something about a month ago saying that the PVC pipe they use to construct the hydro hut was giving off gas fumes when heated. These fumes are very dangerous to humans and plants. Hydro hut is aware of the problem and working on getting it fixed.

Even so.....i still think hydro hut is a waste of money....just my thoughts.
