Seven small greenhouses were set up on the M5 Industries roof. Four were set up with stereos playing endlessly looping recordings; Two of negative speech, two of positive speech, a fifth with classical music and a sixth with intense death metal music. A seventh greenhouse, used as a control sample, had no stereo. Find out the results of the Controlled experiment below:

this is what i use. i think the vibration of the amp stimulates growth. sounds reasonable to me. didn't they forget to water in 100 degree weather though. i saw that episode. they came up on the roof and were all "damn, they're all crispy". dude was all, "yeah it was too hot to come up here".

they were running an automatic sprinkler on BATTERIES, and the batteries died during the experiment (dumbasses!) so they had to cut the experiment short..but since none of the plants were watered for a week it was still consistant and a valid experiment

I think it should be revisited, because they did not take into acount that Actually being there and Talking releases Co2 and the plant should love that.

true, the co2 from ones breath would definately affect the plants growth...
but keep in mind those tapes played constantly 24/7 for like a month straight...Id be impressed to see someone actually stand there and do that to a room filled with 10 plants..

There is a movie called "What the bleep" ... there is a section on WATER, and how it is affected by INTENTION..

There is also a book called, the "Secret Life of Plants" ...

Very cool stuff that sheds light on PLANT AWARENESS..

I love talking to my lovely ladies. I like to encourage them along. I talk probably more then I'm suppose to so I can give them more CO2!! They can always here me blasting my music, but I'm not sure if it has affected them. I play more punk music like Senses Fail, Hit the Lights, and so forth. Not really death metal though like they have in this episode. I think they could've done this project much better if they check on the plants more!! I mean come on, they left them alone for about a week!! I could never do that with my babies!!!

yeah thats retarded, they should've tended to the plants more, I cant go a day without checking on my babies, let alone a week!

Yeah, good that they didn't grew pot like we do, would be a shame to let that happen
