tips on what else i need for a first grow

i built my own cab. its 63 long, 33 wide and 20 deep (thats in inches) today i ordered a 150w hps, ratchet hangers for it, a timer, carbon filter, ducting with clamps, and a inline duct booster fan.

i got plants already going under CFL's they are in mg soil (its bad i know newb mistake number 1) im gonna finish them off and whatever happens happens.. they are bagseeds. the carbon scrubber is 4 inch along with the duct booster is 4 inches as well. the timer is dual outlet. should i put my carbon fan on there too? or keep that on 24/7?i got plans on using the duct booster to suck air inside the cab and put the carbon filter at the top to remove the heat etc.. once i get all this and set it up im gonna flower the ones i currently got vegging. they are about 8 inches tall (they are all in a 5 gallon bucket together newb mistake 2). when these are done, i need to know what soil i can go to besides ffof i know thats best and stuff but i cant really afford it. i also need nutes as well as other stuff. basically what i want is some misc stuff i need in order to finish/start my new grow. all help is appreciated they are all bagseeds so im not worried about them they are bagseeds for a reason and i learned off of them they look great minus a few yellow leaves

if mg is all you can afford, that can work..shit i used mg seedling soil to start my plants for the longest time.

yea i heard if you let it dry out really good between waterings it doesnt burn tips.. i seen stuff at dollar store it has vermiculite peat moss and perlite in it and its a little bag for 1.50 or a bigger bag for 3.50 should i use that and mix with it? or just use perlite

do you suggest another soil? i just cant afford 17 dollars for soil.. i think thats expensive plus ill be putting perlite in it.. however much that is.

well everythings gonna cost money, sometimes you just gotta bite the bullet and buy something, or stay with what you have funds for..i would just save up.

ya thats what im thinking.. i got about another 200 bucks worth of stuff i need then ill be good.

and just like i told another user ill tell you the same thing: i find that ffof is too hot for starting seeds in so i use a soil with less nutrients in it to start seeds off, then i transplant into ffof at like 2 weeks.

yeah, i heard light warrior is good for seeds, ocean forest for transplanting.

if ur gonna go through the effort of growing with all the implications , complications etc that go with growing then u need to do it right and like the post says every think costs unfortunately so like a sed if ur gonna make the effort then get the best shit u can afford coz the better the soil the better the plant, the better the lights the better the plant and the list goes on, but soil is top of the agenda, if its 17 dollars then again like the man says pay it for the best results,,, in the order of
SOIL TOP OF YA LIST A GOOD LIGHT AND A CHEAP BALLAST, OSCILLATING FAN ONE BOTTLE OF FLOWERING FOOD AND ONE BOTTLE OF VEG FOOD, PH PEN !!!!!!! THESE ITEMS IF THE BULB IS AROUND 400 WATT HPS OR MORE IS GONNA GIVE YA GOOD BUD !!!

I understand where your coming from but i cant get bigger then a 150w atm. i got a fan already.. a ph pen already is on my list. nutes is on it as well.. im not getting a expensive light case it doesnt work out.
