Going to California

So I have been thinking about starting a new life in Cali. I was wondering what people who live there think of it and help me decide whether I want to live there or not.
Whats it like? and how hard is it to get a license to grow?

I am fond of California, and don't let people fool you with that BS about we don't get all four seasons here. We do, they just respect our space, I can go up to the mountains for snow, then drive down to the beach within an hour.

I am not a fan of LA though personally, I live out here in the IE (riverside) and I like it. You know, save for the bad air quality and all.

i wouldn't really want to live in LA I was thinking maybe more SoCal
The biggest reason I want to move there is the lax marijuana laws and I would love to have my own legal grow room

well i have scoliosis and it gives me chronic pain except when i smoke it relieves alot of pain. so maybe if i do move there i can actually get a physician to let me smoke and cultivate, i wonder if i can smoke in the air force then .... hmmm

the air force is federal. never gonna happen. :blsmoke:

you can get a med card though with your ailment.

i was sure i can
but truthfully i dont mind if i cant smoke, i know it would be near impossible to smoke while in the air force and pass drug tests
i really just want to grow then supply medical marijuana and actually try and help decriminalize and legalize marijuana and hemp across the country and possibly help other growers

Well if you join the air force and decide to keep growing I'll take the results off your hands, you know to help you out so you aren't too tempted.

I live in Southern CA and I would never want to move to another state. Since joining this site I've given serious thought to moving north though...

I would absolutely love to be able to legally grow anywhere in the US, but I'm healthy. Which is no doubt a blessing, but I just want to grow.

well i always knew that my scoliosis was a blessing in disguise
i think im going to start slouching even more so i can get even more sever scoliosis then definitely get permission from my physician to grow

I have lived in California, but never tried growing there. I live in Colorado, which is one of the 12 states that smiles on Cannabis. The city of Denver last year voted to make cannabis possession the lowest possible offense. Leave the potheads alone!! How cool is that. California itself has my undying love. I first experienced California when I and few friends went to Yosemite. This is a drop dead gorgeous place. I spent an entire Summer living in Yosemite's Toulumne Meadows High Sierra Camp. The job included all the food you can eat, and the food was excellent!! I was working as a dishwasher, not smoking any pot, but living next to the Toulumne River and eating all that free food was among the highlights of my entire life!!!!

Yeah the 91 is lame here, but depending on how long ago you lived here you probably wouldn't recognize it anymore. I like it though, the suburbs seem to suit me pretty well though.

I go back every year or two. Still love cali. Haven't resided there for about 10years. Now I have no neighbors. All I see is trees......I don't miss the traffic or using my whole monthly income to pay my rent, but the weather is Great in cali!
