>>>Running with Guns: Pineapple Chunk : 1 Plant : Soil : Stealth Cabinet CFL Grow!<<<

I'm growing a freebie Pineapple Chunk that I got along with a Super Lemon Haze, and 2 White Widow. The PC is the biggest of the 4 plants, and has been since day 1. It responded great to topping. After the 1st topping it bushed out like crazy, and it was effortless for me. I just switched to 12/12 the other day, but I am really looking forward to seeing what she is about. With that being said I just don't know how you will get this strain to grow in that little box. With only 2' of height and then having the CFL's inside the box causes you to lose a few inches in height too. I just don't know how it will work, but I'm not saying that it can't be done. I doubt I could do it, but I am a newbie at indoor growing. I feel fortunate since I have enough room to let mine grow a bit. The PC has a nice sweet skunky aroma during veg, so it might cause some smell issues. I can't tell how much of the PC is causing the smell in my grow room or the Super Lemon Haze because they both have skunk in them. I love the smell of skunk, so I know that I will like this strain.

CATASTROPHE!!!!
It's 3:30 AM on the morning of the 15th day.....I just came back home from a night of boozing with some friends and the first thing I did was check on my baby.....

Well this is what I saw when I opened the box.....

DSC00449.JPGDSC00450.JPG

The Light had fallen on top of her, crushing the fragile young girl......
I slapped myself in the face repeatedly and head-butted the closet door.....how can I be so stupid and trust "heavy duty" adhesive to hold the small weight of my lamp?!?!?!?!?!!

The Losses:

DSC00452.JPG

More than half the leaves were crushed / burned by the light....One of the first true leaves, gone. The two newer 3 bladed leaves, gone too. I could only save a two blades from one of the second pair leaves of three blades.....

I grabbed my hammer and nails and secured that shit! I just Learned the hard way to double and triple the required work needed to secure anything in there.

I gave her a quick watering and immediately small droplets of water started to form at her broken ends....She seems to want to fight for her life.

Will she recover?

Light on for 20 hours per day now.

At least there is some hope, the third set of leaves (that are barely starting to form) are unharmed.

Gun, let her be, she might recover the growing tip is still intact, and doesnt look burnt. its going to be stunted for a while though, so if growth slows dont trip out. itll be fine IMO.

Ah bummer bro! You still have a node there, she will live and actually will probably be easier to train, we'll call it high stress training at this point:-) will probably be a rather unique shaped plant too now!

Hey man, I forgot to ask, did any of those cfl lights break by chance? If one did you may consider decontaminating your area due to the mercury in those bulbs....

Hey there again boys and gals.

Your wishes came threw and helped my baby, she is on the road to a quick recovery, all thanks to your support! I'm telling you she was feeling it :D

made sure to keep her soil moist these last two days and she was sucking up the water pretty fast, I'm sure she is root-bound, or almost root-bound by now.

very nice looking man!she will be a strong one, beautiful looking stem she has there. I remember mine when was your plant's age  she was skinny and I didn't have any hopes for her. So if mine survived all what wrong I've done for her...then yours will be ok. Let me see if I have a picture IMG-20111118-WA0006.jpg she was desperate for good light, I was feeding her with a halogen lamp, a huge one that was giving lots of heat and she got burned a bit but thanks to prof Lime and all the good people on this forum, I moved it under CFLs and now...I'm doing some hash :bigjoint:
We'll keep in touch, all the best

I just got done with my second stage of spider mite eradication on my PC. The first time I have ever had to deal with them. Teach me a lesson for taking clones of someone without treating them... Sucks! I am happy that your little one is getting better! She will do you right!!!

Good luck with that man, hope you eradicate them all.

I once had to deal with them on my chilli plants, what I did was mix some two teaspoons of baking soda, with half a teaspoon of liquid detergent into 3 litres of water (enough to treat 2 or 3 plants) and spray that on the leaves thoroughly, top side and under side, give them a good rinse....then repeat that every two weeks for as long as required, worked like a charm and thankfully didn't harm my crop. I harvested like 5 pounds of chillies from a shipload of plants that were all infected :)

Well guys, she is indeed a fighter!

Even the small leaves that I cut half of them off are growing :-P

You can see the third node already well under way....and the thing is only barely 2 inches off the ground :)
