hey everyone,


just wondering what everyones personal favorite soil recipes are and what fertilizers have worked best for them. i am looking for some feedback on this because i am going to be planting soon and i want the best possible outcome for my babys and for a great harvest. so lets hear what everyones got.

id say to go with fox farms. theyre nutrient formulas are perfect for cannabis cultivation.
and dont listen to that chug guy. hes a newbie on the boards trying to give advice and he has no idea what hes even talking about because he refuses to learn anything here first GrowFAQ


but i myself prefer more organic nutes for outdoors. Its all rust really a preference type of thing. as far as soil i like to go with a 1/3 pearlite, 1/3vermiculate, 1/3 compost.
but thats really a preference thing too

Ive been reading up on outdoor growing since the beg. of winter so say whay you want your just another bitch that doesnt want nobody to take advice but your own.

Ok look lil chug there aint no reason to be getting hostile. AND you need to watch it with the Personal ATTACKS.....
Ive been reading cannabis literature for much much longer than ONE season, and even before I came to rollitup. I dont give a GODDAMN who gives the advice as long as it is the CORRECT advice. And in those regards Ive seen 2 different instances that youve given the WRONG advice. Get a couple grows under your belt before you start trying to teach others.

And I recommended foxfarms because its a good nute for beginners to use, and its pretty forgiving if you use a bit too much a couple times.

the reason i say that is because you my friend are a noobie, like it or not you ARE. No "pretty much" to it punk.
When you learn what the fuck your talking about then give advice.

No, do not use what you want or whatever feels right. Basically chug is telling you to pick the cheapest, crapiest soil out there.

Hi everyone, I can see that not all of us play nice...good to know.
Hey W@ke I know everybody here is a guru, I've only been growing
for about a year and a half. but I know one thing: it's not how much you spend on fancy nutes. I use Jack's Classic water soluble both all purpose & bloom.
I get excellent results for cheap. just use good gardening habits (read a lot)

im kinda confused by this question because it seems much like the first....
but you obviouslly wouldent ask the same question again so.....
if you mean like nutrients IN the soil, I generally try to stay away from those. they can make for over nuting a plant VERY easily. But that may be just my own experiences.

man it really depends on how "all out" you are. If your wanting the best top of the line id recommend coco coir which is a soiless product. but several mixtures are good and productive to use.
if you have a soil that dosent drain fast enough then add some pearlite, if it drains too fast then adda a bit of sand.
i have pretty good compost and i just use that with a bit of pearlite in it to help with drainage.

The seed companies spend years trying to perfect their seeds. All we really need to do is stick them in some dirt and let them do their thing. That's what I do, just get some GOOD soil(fox preferably) add perlite for drainage, and then let nature take it's course. Now naturally if a plant looks deficient of something I will give it to it but other than that no chemicals or fert. That's the way nature intended it.

not a bad attitude at all actually. Id reccomend this before id see another noob kill their beloved only plant cause of overnuting. ah, shameless about it it happened to me once........we all start somewhere right?
