do the fans need to stay on during lights off??

i have a 7x7x7 grow room and im curious to know if i can turn off the fans during the 6 hours that the lights are off? or do i need to keep the fans running 24hrs... and please note that im not talking about the inlin fan that sucks air out or the booster fan that brings fresh air in.. im talking about the oscalating fans that move the air around in the grow room... please let me no thanks.!

Yes during flower... especially if you have high humidity. It helps prevent stagnant air causing mold and rot. In veg its not as important but it cant hurt. The plants still grow at night so it could help limit stretch of the stems as its swaying them a bit.

Mine are off when the lights are off I get enough air via negative pressure to squash the possible mold issues.

i do the same. negative pressure via inline fan that stays on all the time. osculating fans turn off with the light. i had no issues. though it will not hurt to leave them on. it shouldn't cost you any more then a few cents a day in electricity to keep them running.

i just didnt know if the noise shouldnt be there while the lights are off.. money isnt an issure.. i have a fan control. so ill leave them on just turn them down to 50percent

I just run my intake(booster) fan during lights off and leave my oscillating fan running with the light schedule. I do agree tho, if your ambient humidity is high I would run both day long.

noise isn't going to bother the plants but if it bothers you, shut them down. or as your doing, dial them down.

Now you guys talk about intake booster fans..inline are used for exhaust, inline also used for intake? if not, what kind? newbie here too!!

i use an inline fan for exhaust and rely on passive vents for intake. this creates negative pressure and only allows air to exit my tent via the exhaust through a carbon filter. i also have an oscillating fan blowing the top of the canopy and a clamp fan blowing directly under my light, right above the canopy(not sure if this helps).
