sounds like he has some emotional issues(seriously). does he freak out/get irritated w/everyone like that over dumb shit like you said you noticed too? that would be a sign its not you and thats how he is. you could try talking to him about it i guess but it probably would have the opposite of the desired effect and he'd freak out. as for the raising the price, that was bullshit. some people are assholes when they are mad though. is his friendship worth the bullshit? only you can really decide that. i'd get my money back as soon as possible though and wouldnt do anything at all that involves money with him anymore. he's too confrontational and i can see it now......"NO! I owe you motherfucking $x, not $y. Where the fuck did you get $y from? You saying im lying now?Thats bulshit, fuck you dude, you aint getting nothing back.".

ive had a few similar situations happen. luckily never lost any big$ but it still sucks alot.
