12/12 From Seed 150 Watt HPS Perpetual

Hey I just kinda tripped out there, we were 1 post count apart...ok now 2. lol
Im actually thinkin of chopping them maybe tomorrow!

i dont know if those trichs are looking cloudy or if its the light causing them to look white. The buds look great but i think they prob still have a a few days to a week left. Alot of those trichs have clear heads.. it all depends on the kind of high you want. mostly cloudy with some amber is what i see most do and it is usually a good median..

are the pics from the top of the plant or near the bottom? i think its a good idea to check trichs from different parts of the plant as obviously certain parts are older/younger than others and trich development also varies due to that..

I tried to get them all over, my shitty camera gets one decent trich shot out of every like 10 pictures. I am more on your side of waiting them out a bit though. Go too early and may as well have not grown them at all!

looking mighty fine sir, awesome growing! I'd wait another week atleast and then reconsider. I see some clear trichs and looks like those precious buds could fatten up some more!

Ive decided to go another week as well. on a side note, my local nursery is selling fox farm products now which is cool since they arent charging the hydro store markups.

From my experience you should chop 'em NOW......LOL.....actually, I like to chop 'em down while only 75% of the hair have browned.....it's sad to go too far with 'em....they look awesome !

Hairs aren't always a good indicator tho. Checking trichs is a more reliable method in determining if your bud is ready for harvesting. I'm not saying that doing it your way doesn't work for you, just a heads up. I have some SnowRyder Autoflowers and 1 pheno already looks like she's done with all the red hairs but her trichs are a different story.. Impossible as they are 48 days from seed growing under CFL's..

I have both the blackstar 240 and the 150 in the cabinet now. Doing a test for temps as I type this. If it stays good Ill leave it this way till summer then remove the 150 or upgrade my exhaust fan if I want to keep both.

Are you putting the HPS in there just for heat or supplemental lighting as well? you could always throw a couple of CFLs in there to warm it up a bit if heat is what you are looking for. granted if your temps hold at 79 then your good.. otherwise you can always pick up a few light socket plug adapters , a few 42 Watt CFL's and a powerstrip to create the heat you need.. Sorry if i'm rambling. just hit up some of the dank nugz lookin good!

The led is next to the hps not over it, it's just higher cuz those plants in back are taller.

They are one gallon pots. If you have room I'd recommend 2 or 3 gallons. My girls are definitely rootbound.

I was having issues with my temps being too low with the led alone so I thought about putting in something like a cfl. Then it hit me like duh, my 150 hps is sitting on a shelf doing nothing and I know I can fit it too so it was just the logical thing to put it back in! The plants can only benefit from having double the power if I can keep temps good.

So what are the specs on your cab? got a picture? i'm getting a 4X4 tent..doing 12-12fs in maybe 3gallon pots, how many you think would fit in there?

In the beginning that was the plan till it hermied. I decided not to put all my eggs in one basket after that. I wish that damn flip cam could focus up close too!
