i rode my first ride on a eight

so whats a another half gram

just have a sitter for your first

preferably a experienced one

also a question on safety

please tell me you dont take any psycotropic medication antidepressants / maol's

all are bad to mix with tryptamines (shrooms)

just a question to make sure your ride isnt one that ends up in a grave :D

As a matter of fact, it will matter. Your serotonin receptors have down regulated as a result of the increased amount of serotonin within your synapses, and the increase in serotonin that is released from the nerves in your brain will not have as much of an effect on you. That isn't to say you won't trip, but compared to someone not taking an SSRI (which I assume you are on) you should not trip as hard in theory. If you are on an Anti PSYCHOTIC, such as haloperidol or risperidone, you WILL NOT TRIP! In fact, an anti psychotic will end your trip in an instant. If you want to have a powerful experience, WEEN yourself off of the anti depressant, and take the shrooms a week or so after you have weened off of them completely.

But there should be no dangerous interaction between shrooms and an SSRI, so you will be safe if you decide you still want to eat them.

there is interaction between tryptamines and ssri's

but not adversely in MOST cases this is not all jsut most

ssri's and partial ssri's increase the thresh hold of activity with tryptamines and phenythlamines

why does anti physcotic drugs stop trips?? i have to take them on a daily basis as well ass 2 lots of anti depressants. i take a snri but also a nassas med, do theses meds interact with the users experience in anyway?? i love tripping and was planning on getting some shrooms soon but after reading what you posted i think ill hold off for a while.

Shrooms = psilocin psilocibin

these comounds act on the serotonin receptors

certain compounds will and wont interact

trycyclics and ssri's are ones to watch out for

I'm not completely certain of every step in the process, but overall, anti psychotics (not antidepressants like SSRIs, SNRIs) block the effects of dopamine in certain parts of the brain. How this correlates to abruptly stopping the trip, I am not entirely sure, but antipsychotics are used to treat drug psychosis if benzos are unable to produce the desired effect.

In schizophrenics, and other psychotic individuals, there is too much dopamine circulating in a certain part of the brain (mesolimbic?), resulting in hallucinations and delusions. Sounds like a trip, doesn't it? Reducing the effectiveness of dopamine in that area of the brain seems to get rid of these delusions and hallucinations, and they serve the same purpose when a trip must be stopped for whatever reason.

My only personal experience is with ssri's and shrooms. When I was on lexapro, I had a wicked hard head, it took 6-7 grams for a decent trip. When I'd been off them for a while I ate 2 grams thinking it would be a threshold dose and Whoopee! Pretty good ride. Not real intense but very nice and manageable.

I'd recommend going to a mushroom site and searching around, asking questions about interactions. My home is mycotopia.net, I think you'd like it there.
