before u plant make sure there is no geo cache spots near you..... im not sure but i think some geocaches require u be a certain level or sumtn in order to unlock other caches.... so u might have to play to see them all

i have been geocaching since 2005. You have brought up a valid concern as geocaching takes people into some of the most remote places including under water where scuba gear is required. there are different variarions of the game and is worldwide. it is addictively fun as you can play it at any time, any place.

You know a stoner twist on geocaching could be interesting.

scubadiving caches thats pretty cool... i watched some extreme geocaching and what they where going through to get to these caches is like the exact same shit id be going through to get to my plots.... a stoners twist can be like we make a random spot and just throuh a bunch of ur fav seeds into the ground and let them grow in that cache spot.... i know i have thousands of seeds i am not going to use from some breeding ive done so i can through some of my lineage down and just totally abandon them and not harvest them but letting seeds fall to grou d and grow next year for the next visitors

lol Ive stumbled on multiple geocach locations by accident over the years, walking the forests. They are literally just in random area's, I believe people track them down using a GPS after they are given coordinates of geocach locations. From the geocaches that I have found, they are just random sizes containers, one being a Tupperware container, and others being smaller containers, one was a peanut butter bottle. Once you find it, your supposed to leave something in there, so it will continually fill up with strange and peculiar things. Most of the stuff I found that was left was random letters and pieces of paper from past travelers, different kind of money, key chains, etc, even beer lol. I have never actually went out searching for geocach locations, I just stumbled across them by accident.

bump...... its that time of year again

we all need to be reminded of this activity.... ive ran into geocachers 100meters within a spots of mine. Now instead of carrying bird books and shit i just carry a trail guide book and my GPS with my plot cordinates and if anyone asks what they are i say im a geocacher and those are geocaches that i found or made.

there and app that you can download for geocatching. it gives you gps locations around you of where stuff is hidden me and the gf used it when we were camping in the smokey mountains. you could use it for the reverse effect of going away from the gps location for your plots lol
