I wouldn't flower the JTR early, same with the 3D, wait until she at least shows her first hairs. With my pheno she has to be a decent size before flowering or she will have a low yield. Topped and wait a week to recover works great under my 600w.nice one batcavei got a JTR vegging right now, not sure when to start flowering.
i want to flower as soon as possible, but i want the yield to be worth it.
My 3D pheno is the one that stretches, my 12" clone would have easily made 5ft if I hadn't pinched the top 3 seperate times. My old 3D pheno was wirey and low yielding
Pinch a few branches and they will get tougher and stronger for flowering
I find that I get more and better growth with pinching instead of cutting them, always top once then start pinching once it recovers. Cutting/topping the 3D and JTR stops them in their tracks with no growth for at least 4 days, pinching lets them keep growing just not upwards.
I dunno about that I'll have to dissagree with the 3D I dunno about the JTR, everytime I topped I found it took the next day to recover then the day after i say the 2 new leader emerge. But I will do one of my next clones like you said one top and pinch to see the diff now that i'm seeing how they grow and which ones like it or not.
After my topping and supercropping its usually in the 45 day veg area before they go into flower so they are nice and beefy. I have a 3D in veg at 30 days, I will take a photo of tomorrow that has been topped and pinched

3D day 31 from clone, topped at day 18 from roots, pinched the first time at day 25 and will get a final pinch at day 35.

Banana Nut mini-loafs and homemade cookies just came out of the oven 10 minutes ago. Made with "coma cannabutter" from 5oz JTR and 3D trim & 1oz popcorns buds simmered into 2 lbs unsalted sweetcream butter overnight then strained. Eating a whole mini-loaf will waste a whole day, even the most seasoned patients gets their eyes crossed
