Mason jars ?

What does everyone do with ther mason jars between crops ?Do you clean them ?Do you let it build up over time ,or do you boil your jars,Thanks

I use isopropyl alcohol (98% alcohol) little bit in the jar,wipe with a bit of kitchen paper towel,I like my jars to be clean so my buds cure to taste how they should

Or you can just boil them in a saucepan to sterilise them

still hot water doesnt remove any build up, resins dissolve in oil/alcohol or fat, isopropyl alcohol evaporates leaving nothing but clean glass ,also boiling glass is never a good idea,it can explode

Mason jars can be boiled, they are made for canning which involves boiling them water. I clean mine with soap and water.

also always have the isopropyl as its good for cleaning my vinyl/pc monitor/electronics key board mouse etc, cheaper than buying any of the products made for those jobs,and more effective

of course. I wouldnt boil them for an hour on a high rolling boil. They can be boiled without any issues though.

You can make hash out of the crystals left in the jar. Use the isopropyl in the jars then evaporate the alcohol with a fan and you will have some hash left over. You dont need a whole lot of isopropyl. I do this with all my jars before the hot water/ boiling them clean.

I put my jars in the dishwasher - the lids I wash by hand so they don't rust.

I make sure all the shake is out but leave all the resin. Till there is a good build up then use iso and clean it out dump in Pyrex and get some hash.

Do you really make hash with isopropyl alcohol? Do you know they add poison to it right?

I had a friend in high school that did the same thing. However he would use resin scrapped from his pipes. He would burn off the isopropyl instead of airdrying. even worse. Some people have very large imaginations. lol.

I use 91%. let it air dry and scrap it up. IMO iso is less poisiness the bho.

I've never bothered to clean one out.......what a PIA. It shouldn't be long before you fill 'em back up! Plus I trade a lot of them back and fourth empty for full for my patients.

Never had an issue....
