Hps from seeds to finish

i gotta know can u use 1000w hps from seedling to bud

Of course you can i ve used a 600 over mine as i dont fuck around with any other light than hps ive just recently rooted clones under em 2 remember they are very tender so dont put em directly under the light put them somewere far enough just so they recieve enough light and id advise you to not start em in its final sized container as they will stretch like a mofo hence why youll beed to repot them or it so to bury the fucker so you no longer have the stretch !!

You could use an HPS for vegging and flowering however an HPS lacks the blue-ish color of the light spectrum. So yes you can but it WILL have an impact on the plants. Just buy a cheap T5 high output flouro fixture and bulbs for veg... thats what i use and its amazing for veg

Short answer, yes. Some better options in veg, but if you gotta run what you brung, HPS will do.

Just fine. However, wall mart has some affordable fluoro lights for 15$. Might help with keeping electricity costs down. HID lights can run expensive.

Yep u can use them no prob although you'd prob be better of getting a t5 or something like that save electric plus keep heat down and plus what u save on electric would pay for the light after few months!

I have both a 1000W. HPS set-up and a 1000W. MH set-up to choose from. Now I ONLY use the HPS lights
for the entire growing cycle.

I started using the MH for vegging and the HPS for flowering like everyone says. Then one summer I noticed how
much hotter the MH light was than the HPS bulb. I did a test where I grew a set of clones both ways -- MH for 5 weeks then the HPS for 6 weeks to flower,
then another batch with 11 weeks under just the HPS. I couldn't tell the difference in the outcome or yields, so I stick with
the HPS for good. Works for me and keeps the room cooler in the hotter months. Cheaper too.

i would have thought the better option for young seedling is cfls, as you can get it nice and close without burning them..thats what i do ,i get to 3 nodes and then switch to hps
