I was really high when I wrote that lol.
But anyway, I did read the announcement. I'm just saying that the loss of such a large ammount of data could have been prevented by simply backing up more often.
You may not know how easy it is to automate something like that to have it run every week or every couple days.

I'm not saying it's the admins' fault that there was a SQL injection exploit on the site, neither am I trying to bash anyone, I just hope they pay more attention to this stuff from now on :)

I have a thought , no it didn't hurt ,
Maybe , RIU have removed the Like feature in an attempt to get more long term users ?
How do i mean , well , less likes , mean more rep , more rep means Long term , high reputation users ?

Not sure it works that way.
(I want the Likes back!!)
I think admin pretty much secured that outcome when -rep was removed. Now the Salad Bar by our names just ratchets up. I don't think removing Likes has an effect on that. cn

Didn't hurt ? I read that twice before I got it . Interesting concept you bring up .
